Come on all of you big strong men
Uncle Sam needs your help again...

Does anyone know why do some vehicles from old packs (VM, for example) are non-runners? Engine and gearbox work normally, but a car is standing still. Which particular part is outdated and causes the problem? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried checking the powertrain debug app? It can usually show you where exactly the problem is. I have no idea myself what it could be tbh.

I think a lot of mods broke when halfshafts were added? Maybe it's that? On mods that broke because of that, the engines would still work, but the power would never get to the wheels.

Sounds like it could be your problem to me, but not 100% sure.

I had checked the engine and found out that it works properly before creating this thread. But I have completely forgotten about the powertrain debug function. After your advice, I identified that some kind of suspicious differential is mounted. It looks like it is old and corrupted and poses the issue. Replacement of this part fixed the powertrain. Problem is solved now. Thank you a lot for your time and consideration. I'm very grateful to you.

Yeah it's usually the weird suspicious AWD differentials that mess things up and only work for 1 update lol. If you said this was in the mod I would be able to tell instantly, I thought it was some outdated mod for a new car or something, they usually don't have these.

Well, I mentioned in the brackets that it was Variety Mod. I know that it is severely outdated, but most configurations still work quite fine, and I've found no bugs or glitches caused by it yet.

I don't think the thing you showed on the screenshot is a VM thing, it was from the Gambler Pessima mod. Also where did you find a link to VM, wasn't it removed?

I seriously doubt that. Well, I will check this out later as I am not home now.

No, it is not from the Gambler Pack. I have checked the files and made sure that this Pessima, as well as some other vehicles which had the same problem are from the VM. Perhaps you confused LX Sport with ltrv. Yes, Variety Mod was deleted when sauropods dominated on the Earth. In 2017, however, a fix file was uploaded. I have used this pack since then. This ancient fix of the ancient mod must be outdated but...

If this is the case then I guess either the Gampler Pessima mod has stuff straight up ripped from the VM (which I doubt) or you have both mods and they are conflicting which is breaking both of them.

I deleted VM, then reinstalled Gambler Pessima and cleared cache. After that I repeated the procedure with. Absolutely no effect. VM Pessimas need only the replacement of differential in order to run. Apart from GP ones: engine doesn't work there as well.

So the issue is more serious than just a mod conflict. Just use the normal differential then, and if you really want working AWD then wait for the new update for my mod to come out, one of the things it can do is making any car any drivetrain (except T-Series because it doesn't work on it yet for some reason), so you can have FWD, RWD, AWD, 4WD and 4WD Crawler everything, even 3WD or 1WD Pigeon if you want.

Yes, yes, so it seems. I eagerly await your new mod. I'm almost certain, you are going to create some really cool stuff. Thanks again.

It's not a new mod, just an update to my first mod, the one where I basically put everything that can drastically edit any car (except for the JATO and ram plow that have their separate mod because otherwise they would conflict with the flying car from the mod).
