It is OVERKILL. You can easily run the game on a 760 - 660. Even a 650 will run the game, but you if you want to do other things like shooters, the 780 is what you'll want.

My 760 struggles a tiny bit with maxxed settings at 1080p.

Well, Nadeox1 runs with a 660, and his cinematics are all above 60fps. Then again, some cards are better than others. I'm sure re-pasting the GPU would help.

780 Ti is good, don't know why you searched "6gb" since you'd never use that much without a 4k or multi monitor setup.

I currently run a factory overclocked 7770 (any overclocking I do crashes BeamNG) and it seems to work ok (in between a 650 and a 650 ti). I'm looking to upgrade to an R9 280 (think 7950), as they can be had for around 200 USD and offer quite a bit of performance over similarly priced Nvidia cards (looking at you Gtx 760). I'd say it's a pretty good bet and I'd get it now if I wasn't still running an amd athlon 64x4 OC'd to 3.3 ghz, but just barely making i3 performance.
