I was fooling around on google earth today, and decided to share some of my automotive finds here. If you want to go virtual carspotting but don't know where to go, Japan, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles work well. Here are some unusual wheels spotted in my small PA town: '95 Buick Skylark, '98 Suzuki Vitara '95 Ford Taurus '87 Honda Civic '90 Subaru Legacy '95 Chevrolet Corsica '04 Saab 9-3 '90 Mercury Sable, '91 Saturn SL1 '89 Honda Prelude, '95 Subaru Legacy '95 Honda Civic Del Sol '90 Acura Legend '95 Acura Integra AFAIK the Del Sol and Legend are still there- but most of these images are quite old and I haven't been out of the house in forever now, so I can't speak for the others.

Some shots from midtown and downtown Warsaw, where I should have been now, had it not been for the pandemic switching my studies to online. First, the university and the piece of midtown surrounding it. F01 740d, the fanciest thing on the uni's parking lot. A custom Vitara, a Land Cruiser V8 and what's likely a T3 Syncro at the same lot? Well, it's not that surprising when the strip mall hosts an outdoor gear store. But that does not explain a Citroen XM. A Wartburg in the vicinity, and a Fiat Siena that hasn't rotten to bits yet. Two surviving MPV rarities - Chevy Astro and Honda Shuttle. You see that car on yellow plates? Yup, that's an Opel Rekord E in the sort of color that they don't make anymore. An Impreza WRX STi and a Civic Type R on the same street. Anyone wants an 00s tuner battle? Another T3. What's up with the plastic roof extension? Another 80s survivor, this time a Polo Mk2. Warsaw doesn't have many 2-seaters, so even an SLK is a sight to note. Time to head downtown, and as we go down the avenues, the luxury keeps coming. A8 D4... ...C6... ...and a BENTLEY MULSANNE! America in Poland. What's weirder - a Town Car as a taxi, or an Olds Achieva in normal downtown traffic? And our last downtown shot - a survivor Daewoo Espero to bring us back down to earth. Back midtown. Another survivor, this time a Citroen C15. I don't know about you, but I consider spotting a relatively unpopular model that was only sold for 2 years an achievement. As I mentioned, 2-seaters are rare there. Here's an MX-5. Chevrolet Beretta, for whatever reason. An A8 taxi. I wonder if taxi use pays the bills well enough? Foreign market carspotting - 90s USDM Corolla. Time to head to a newer part of the midtown. The people there kind of like uncommon 4x4s... ...like a late-model Range Rover... ...a Peugeot 508 RXH... ... and even a survivor 1st gen Pajero. Unusual passenger vans? Sure, that's there too in the form of a Toyota LiteAce and a Mercedes-Benz MB100 (anyone remember these?) Plus something less unusual in what model it is, but certainly notable in its form - a T3 that seems to be an ex-fire-service car. And for a final note of weirdness, here's a slammed E34 with woodgrain panelling, of all things.

A cursory glance around my neighbourhood produced these gems- that last picture with the Rover 200 dates to no later than 2006, and the Metros (and the Ford Galaxy in the same pic), the Saxo, the MG ZS, the Saab, the Polo and the Punto are also no longer here either.
