Hello I want to make a mod and i dont really know how. im planning to use blender for it. Im planning to make a 2021 Chevy Tahoe! That is my goal for 2021. I really like that car, So can you nice people maybe tell me about making mods? Maybe a Name for it? (Not the real name of the car) I really wanna know how to Make a jbeam for it. Please help me. I have no experience.
Then you better buckle the hell up as it will be a wild ride filled with frustration, anger & annoyance. I would definitely start out with trying to get to know Blender, all the neccessary options in it for 3D modeling & texturing but also some basic keyboard shortcuts, like G to move, S to scale etc. From the get-go, I can tell you that it won't be a walk in the park & will definitely take a looong time to be more than a beginner at it, so you better have a bunch of time everyday to spare to learn it, as it can take 3-6 months to learn it to be good-ish enough, nevermind creating a whole car from the ground-up, which usually takes 9-12 months for people that know what they're doing.
And that's just half of the thing because making Jbeam takes equally much time if not more if you are going for a scratch made one (which is usually the best option unless there already is a vanilla car from a similar era with a similar shape and with the same body style).
Gotta have some serious skill to make such a highly detailed car. If I were you, I would start of with something more square and 80's, much more easier to model and learn with.
