i've recently found this new technique of getting a full night's sleep and it's great 9 hours is perfect
another thing people underestimate is waking up on schedule with your circadian rhythm. your body sleeps in ~90 minute "cycles" so you should set your alarm to wake up some multiple of 90 minutes after going to sleep, for example 90min x 6 = 9 hours.
I go to bed at 9 pm, surf on phone to 10 pm and I go to sleep. I woke up at 7 am, so if my math is correct, I sleep for 9 hours.
