Case: panic manoeuvre leads to loss of control, November 23rd 2007.

Description: a tired driver missed their exit on the freeway, and in a last-ditch effort to make it they drove up the verge. The car caught air over the verge, missed the off-ramp and rolled down the bank on the other side, almost landing on another part of the same junction.

Injuries: the 58-year-old driver suffered a broken neck and spinal damage, as well as several broken ribs and a broken arm.

    Vehicles involved: 2003 Gavril Roamer.

    Location: West Coast, USA.

Aftermath: though it was 6am and that meant no-one else was around to get caught up in the crash, another motorist found the Roamer a few minutes afterwards and was able to get the driver out while calling 911. The driver survived, but spent over a year bed-ridden, and needed to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Photos: (last one shows part of the police investigation and the location of the original accident)

Case: inattention leads to pileup in tunnel, November 29th 2007.

Description: a motorist who was texting while driving did not notice that his lane was closing and hit a sign telling traffic to move over into the two leftmost lanes. The angle of the impact caused the back of his pickup truck to swing out, in front of a lady in a minivan- debris coming off both the pickup and the minivan landed in the leftmost lane, and a taxi suddenly stopped to avoid puncturing a tyre on the glass and plastic shards- another pickup truck swerving to avoid the minivan hit the side of the taxi.

Injuries: the texting driver suffered whiplash but was otherwise fine. The lady in the minivan, plus her two children in the back, were uninjured, as were the other two drivers, but the taxi's passenger took some bruising to his right arm, which had been resting against the car's window when it got hit.

Vehicles involved: 2000 Gavril D15 x2 (1 extended cab, one standard), 1998 Ibishu Kashira LX, 1998 Ibishu Pessima.

    Location: West Coast, USA.

Aftermath: due to the backup of traffic, emergency services were unable to reach the scene for over an hour- luckily, one of the passengers of a bus which nearly rear-ended the Kashira happened to be a student doctor, and she was able to tend to the two slightly-injured parties. The extended-cab pickup was totalled, and its driver was fined for careless driving but did not face any further legal consequences.

    Case: rear-end collision, June 30 2010. 12:09:34.

Description: Officer P McLar was doing cool things with his brand new police vehicle. He is a bad driver and one of the worst from the ECPD. One day he is speeding around city. At the tankstation he crashed into a UPD truck from Patty and the Covet from Pauline and her daughter Fatima.

Patty worked till 2018 for UPD, before retireing. Pauline did still her job: Working for the supermarket. Fatima becomed in 2016 a cleaner at the auto repair shop. 2 years later, she becomed a mechanic, but she is also the cleaner. She really like the job. The Covet was also from Fatima since she passed her driving test. Pauline currently own a ETK 1300. The Gavril's fate is unknown. The car is likely scrapped.

Case: inattentive driver causes collision trying to avoid another, worse one, December 26th 1986.

Description: a trucker delivering a new van to a customer's warehouse was not paying much attention while driving there- coming down a hill he did not see a stationary car in front of him until the last second, and swerving around it he missed it but lost control of the trailer which hit an oncoming car.

Injuries: miraculously, the other driver escaped with only a broken arm.

Vehicles involved: 1983 Gavril T65, 1987 Gavril D45 van, 1969 Gavril Barstow 353 Roadsport Package.

    Location: East Coast, USA.

Aftermath: the car the truck avoided had been waiting to turn left at the junction where the crash happened, and had it not been waiting for the oncoming Barstow to clear the path things could have been far worse. Police estimated that if that lucky Moonhawk had turned across, its occupants would both have been killed instantly by the 50mph truck. The Barstow was laid up when the cost of repairs turned out to be more than the car's worth, though it was recovered and restored in 2013. The truck driver was fined $900 for reckless driving, and was on the verge of receiving a prison sentence, but being fired was enough punishment- his cargo was totalled, and his company had to pay out for a replacement van to be delivered the following month.

    Case: Car found, June 4 1986, 17:36:05

Description: Paul is on vacation in his brand new ETK in Altitude. Suddenly he saw something blue in the grass. Paul didn't think it was a park ranger, because there was a cliff and a lot of trees. He stopped on the side of the road to see what it is. It was a Crash Hard Classic!!!

    Injuries: Unknown.

    Car(s): 1935-1939 Crash Hard Classic.

    Map used: Altitude.

Aftermath: A Piccolina driver helped Paul to search for the driver, nobody found. Paul and the Piccolina driver, called Pailo, were going to the police station nearby. 3 hours later, the car was towed and was then placed into the Altitude Museum. In 1997, a Roth Alpha driver found a skeleton, witch is presumed had a link with the 11 year older finded car. Out of research, they founded out that in 1937, a Crash Hard Classic went missing. Paul and Pailo were best friends even today. In 1994, the ETK catched on fire. Its also featured earlier in this forum.
In 1998, the Piccolina had an engine problem and 2 months later, the car was written off. The car and the dead body is called The mistery of Altitude.

Nowhere else to put them. A lot of small island communities IRL do it (e.g. Malta)

They don't have any scrapyards or anything to put them in, so I guess it's their only choice. A lot of older cars there are being imported to the UK, though, nowadays, to escape the scrappage drive.

No, but I'm subscribed to a car magazine which seems to spend a lot of time looking at the scene over there, and they explained the situation pretty comprehensively.

Case: loss of control due to conditions, December 27th 2017.

Description: 16-year-old rich kid Baz received a new car for Christmas, a gift for passing his driving test. However, while trying to impress a girl he liked just two days later, he switched the ESC off and drove as fast as he could on the still-icy roads- the car lost traction and rolled up a snow bank, coming to rest against a tree.

Injuries: the passenger was concussed, but Baz was fine.

    Vehicles involved: 2017 ETK 836tc.

    Location: East Coast, USA.

Aftermath: Baz called his father, who called for a recovery truck and an ambulance for Baz's friend. While the passenger was taken to hospital, where she made a full recovery over the next few weeks, Baz was driven home by his angry father, but he still got another car a few days later- his "punishment" was that the car was not brand-new, and not the coupe Baz wanted- instead, it was a bright yellow 2015 ETK 856t.

Description: 3 days earlier, on 1 July, Samantha broke up with his boyfreind, Michel. On 4 July, Samantha drove to her parents, outside West Coast. Michel saw that with a GPS locator he installed one day earlier. He stepped in his car and drove to the house. When he finds the house, he rammed his car into Samantha's car as well Samantha's parents car. Michel drove away and crashed with approximatly 65 MPH into a rock.

    Injuries: None.

Car(s): 1991 ETK W (Michel), 1989 Ibishu Covet (Samantha), 1997 Gavril Roamer (parents).

    Map used: West Coast USA.

Aftermath: On 11 July 2001, a cleaner founded the blue ETK, without Michel. Samantha and her parents were in shock, because both the cars and a bit of the entrance were broken. Only the ETK was totaled, but Samantha sold her Ibishu to the scrapyard for $200 because she will never think of Michel again. The Gavril was sold in 2016, and was again sold in 2017, before getting scrapped early 2020. Michel was found in 2002, in a treehouse. He was fined $60.000, his license was suspended for 10 years and he getted in jail for 4 years. Samantha bought later on a Escar Seoil Egos for $9000 from her father.
