Cause why not I guess.
It's "official" until Steam makes the actual game group for it. Then I will remove the "official" tag.

 

I like the idea of a Steam group but I don't think you should call it "official", even if there is not yet an official Official BeamNG group. Just my 2 cents worth.

Turns out I can't change the group name. Steam doesn't allow that. I'd have to recreate the group. UGH.
I would change it if I could, but I don't want to remake the group.

It will be [Official] but I'll put in the summary that it isn't actually official.

 

For it to be official, doesn't it need to be approved by a mod? You can't just go and call something official.

 

Yes, I realized this after I created the group. That's why its not official. It just says official because I can't change it.

Since this became a problem quickly, Ill save everything I've done and recreate the group.

 

Isn't there already a Steam group? I barely go on steam, but I'm pretty sure I'm in a BeamNG group already with over 100 members. I guess since everyone's joining that it makes it the most official one until the real game-group is made.

There is one, but it is foreign (Russian I think). I am making an ENGLISH one.

although, aperently whoever ran the group decided to shut down the group, so it's now called "Delete this please", so i guess your group is the current english one at least until steam adds the official one
