well if it required you to install 3 discs, thats just damn weird.

First step, confirm windows sees the gamepad. Open control panel. Find the devices and printers option. It should list the gamepad near the top. It should also be listed in device manager under "Human Interface Devices" as something like a "HID-compliant game controller" and without a yellow error icon on it. If it is a 360 controller clone it should also have a device manager entry under "Xbox 360 peripherals", if it does not, then it is not a 360 controller clone, meh.

Then assuming windows sees it right. You'll need to find out its GUID and write an inputmap for it. BeamNG determines controller type from GUID and none of the clone controllers actually match the original xbox 360 one, hence why only the original microsoft xbox 360 controller is recommended.

Windows recognizes it. and 3 drivers on one disc not 3 discs. how do i find the GUID?

EDIT: i found the GUID but there are a couple different ones.. Device class guid and Bus Type guid. which one is it? and how do i find the input mappings?

Confusingly none of those, its the DirectInput GUID you need which isnt shown in device manager. There is a tutorial somewhere on how to add new inputmaps to the game which also covers retrieving the correct GUID.
