Update Speculation thread

Livery is definitely new, looks to be a factory demonstrator. Given the "Police Interceptor" text this might be a more powerful version of the police package, just like the Bluebuck Interceptor.

Yeah those are Hopper wheels. I'm assuming they aren't final cause they're pretty out of place + the devs don't really recycle wheels like that (unless the cars are from the same brand).

 

That wagon is a mod as far as I know. The devs like to play with mods too!

 

I've looked at a number of mods and none of them seem to look like that, especially with the pillars in the rear window. Also, why would they delete a screenshot of a single mod when update speculation sees it?

Maybe that's the last batch of approvals for a while, but I don't expect an update tomorrow anyway. Probably next Monday, the devs don't like to release too close to a weekend so they have time to fix bugs.

 

From my experience they tend to drop between Tuesday and Thursday. Monday and Friday updates aren't super common.

 

Obviously that's the LeGran replacement so that people stop saying the Wendover is just an obese LeGran

I'm still hoping for a Belasco City taxi undercover cop like the NYPD uses. It would be a neat config to officially have and just be the police bits on the taxi config.

As for the TT-Sport logo on the K-Series.... Both of those modern ETK's are so short on content that I don't know where to begin. A TTSport config would be a start at least... Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind seeing ETK's TT-Sport and Ibishu's GTz's getting a unique flavor like the 1990's Gavril RS lineup has (even though the D-Series is currently missing a body kit compared to the Roamer and GM). It would really be nice for gameplay and lore to see more common threads running through each manufacturer's lineup.

 

I'm still hoping that the Grand Marshal will get a taxi sign that doesn't feature an ad carrier.

 

Sorry man this is America, we gotta cram as much advertising into as little space as possible. Every square inch of the nation must be plastered with at least 15 advertisements, it's literally in our Constitution and it's the way Jebus intended

 

Depends, they could have approved mods that they know aren't going to collide with the current update.

Then I'd at least like some new ads for the ad carriers. Two just isn't quite enough.

 

A derby themed one would be cool too.

Well that was one hell of a trainwreck.

 

So this is one of the images from Car_Killer's Imgur, general consensus at the moment is that this shows part of the revamped WCUSA.

Can anyone disprove this theory by identifying this location in a modded map?

Conversely, can anyone substantiate it by showing the same location on the current edition of the map?

 

Honestly it seems to have that "polish" of something that's official.
Here's where I think that photo was taken.





It also looks like WCUSA would be getting additions to the Industrial zone.

Beat me to it but, yeah, that mountain in the distance gives this location away.

 

The last picture Is near the highway, I think. Also good to hear, that devs made the new JRI as vibrant green as the current Island. The new JRI looks incerdible!
