I am currently making a custom Roamer with a new body. It will look like the 2020 Ford Explorer and will be slightly more powerful and lighter than the normal Roamer. There will be alternate parts that have no meaning to the sport version such as a 7600 hp engine and a spoiler with massive amounts of downforce based on the Nomi GTRX. This will be my first mod, so I need some help with Blender!
Please only make a thread when you have progress to show, and read this section's posting rules. Thanks.
If you are essentially making it a modern car you need to start from scratch with every single part of the car. The roamed is from the 90s and the tech wouldn’t be in anything past 2005
Mabye- The Gavril Roamer Modernized --- Post updated --- I dont have models yet, but some jbeams are done --- Post updated --- Actually, I will be using the default roamer model and altering the model and texture to make it look good. I will be porting ESC from the SBR. --- Post updated --- Should I make it a new car, or an addition for the roamer?
Well since it is supposed to resemble a 2020 Explorer, I think going for a new car would be more suitable.
Uhh I think you mean 760 hp? Because 7600... especially in a Roamer... that's just a tiny little bit too ridiculous...
That is the less powerful engine. The "Ludicrous" engine gets so much power the wheels explode as soon as the throttle is pressed. I did it by going into the jbeam for the engine and added a few extra zeros here and there
Dude, if you want to make a mod, keep the engine values realistic, nobody will want to drive a car with instantly exploding wheels because it literallly won't drive
UPDATE: there is a functioning vehicle in BeamNG. The textures need to be fixed and the jbeam doesn't align with the models, but other than that it looks good.
