Gaining hype with drawings yet never doing it isn’t a good thing. I’d recommend not modeling off a sketch that isn’t perfectly proportioned. You’re better off just making it in blender, so don’t try and gain hype to something that won’t happen

Probably my most useful tip is to look at other people's work either being other mechanical 3D models, or just plain old google images reference. Trying to do something fully by yourself without taking clues from other people's work is (in my opinion) not the way to do things watching other people's work can inspire you a lot. By that I don't mean straight up copy lol, just take clues that could help you (techniques etc)
