Oh no! Just as you merge onto the Utah highway, you notice you only have 0.5 liters of fuel remaining! Better make it last...

THE CHALLENGE: Drive as far as you can on the main highway of Utah using only 0.5 liters of fuel.

    STEPS:
    1. Line up your choice of vehicle just before the 80 mph sign in the acceleration lane, as shown in the image above. You may use any gasoline- or diesel-powered official vehicle or mod.
    2. Go to the tuning settings and set the fuel to 0.5 liters. If you are using Arcanox's hybrid mod, make sure to set the battery pre-charge to zero.
    3. Set your cruise control to 55 mph (89 km/h) or higher and go.
    4. Make sure to keep track of how far you travel using the trip computer applet. Once your speed drops below 50 mph (80 km/h), the test is over and that is your final distance. If you are using Arcanox's hybrid mod, I advise you to engage EV mode just as your fuel runs out in order to get a bit of extra distance.
Using Arcanox's hybrid ETK and a four-cylinder diesel power plant, I managed to go exactly 7 miles (53 MPG) at 55 mph. See if you can top that!

I managed to get 3.5 miles in a 4cyl LeGran (nearly 28mpg). Still better than I thought it would achieve.

Also 5.5 miles in a base-model Vivace (110, 6-speed manual). That equates to around 44mpg.

7.8km on 0.5L of fuel in the Pessima HX
    upload_2020-8-19_23-21-57.png

Other than the fuel, the only change I did was to increase tire pressure to 40psi. No idea how to calculate MPG, so you will have to do it for me :p

That 5.5 becomes 6.4 with the diesel, which is 48 MPG!

You managed an impressive 36 MPG. Pro tip: multiply the distance in miles by 7.571 to get the MPG.

Update: this abomination before God got 9.5 miles, or almost 72 MPG. Since it is not street legal, it doesn't count.

    I got 5.4 miles in a "fuel-efficient" Diesel Covet
    40 - 41 MPG

I also think I accidentally found a bug with the covet where the fuel lights don't match up with the outline in the cluster

Made it 5.1 miles/8.2km in my Toyota 3S-FE/Toyota S51 5-Speed manual powered Pessima HX.

My personal IRL daily replica Pessima (01 Camry 3S-FE/A140E 4-Speed auto) made it 4.8 miles/7.7kms.

    Made it 2.0 miles/3.3km in a Chevy 2bbl 283CI V8 Bluebuck. Even with 2.56 rear gears and a 3-Speed manual.

    6.5 miles/10.4km in a Vivace 110d with a Ford 8F 8-Speed automatic.

decided to give this a shot, this seemed fun
i tested 2 vehicles on this, one fuel efficient, the other.. not so much

    first vehicle:
covet dxi in manual, with tires on a higher pressure
    covetchallenge.png
it managed 5.6mi aka 42.4mpg. pretty impressive for blob car

    second vehicle:
miramar race in manual, with a centrifugal supercharger
    miramarchallenge.png
this went 3.1mi aka 23.5mpg. i was expecting like 15mpg considering the supercharger, but hey, surprises happen.

this was a fun challenge, i hope to see more of these in the near future.

8.2 miles (13.19 km) in stripped down but still road legal Ibishu Pigeon 0.8L diesel (Official)
    and..
6.2 miles (10 km) in not road legal and not so economic configuration Gavril Barstow 8.2L V8

Also I didn't expect for electric cars to be so inefficient.

I was curious what mileage my diesel LeGran S Coupe and this challenge was just a perfect opportunity to check it :) I used the 3.3 V6 as a reference to see if the diesel engine gets better MPG.

    3.3 V6 (3A/3.06 final drive) - 4.4 km

    3.8 V6 Diesel (3A/2.33 final drive) - 5.7 km
    3.8 V6 Turbodiesel (3A/2.33 final drive) - 5.5 km

    3.8 V6 Diesel (4A/2.33 final drive) - 5.8 km
    3.8 V6 Turbodiesel (4A/2.33 final drive) - 5.7 km

    3.8 V6 Diesel (4M/2.54 final drive) - 6.2 km
    3.8 V6 Turbodiesel (4M/2.54 final drive) - 6.1 km

    3.8 V6 Diesel (5M/2.54 final drive) - 7.6 km
    3.8 V6 Turbodiesel (5M/2.54 final drive) - 7.1 km
