I just want someone to make like a nicer rear fascia for it. Like that's all I want lol
I always get annoyed when stylistically something looks gimped or rushed

I can't tell if its supposed to look like an xj220 rear but even worse, because that's what it looks like

honestly though, most low volume supercars of that era used really basic, generic taillights, and i like that about the bolide.

(most ferraris used generic circular lights until the 512TR, which were still a basic design.

lamborghini opted to house their generic tail-lights inside custom made red lens housings, (which they ditched on the later countach anyway)
and some other companies (like the aforementioned xj220) used lights from other, more mass-produced cars.

though i do concede, the bolide could also do with having the rear vent strakes extend over the taillights, even if only on a facelift. (here's a quick mockup i made a while ago)

I like the comparisons. I just feel like the execution of it could have been a little more interesting. It's a very boxy generic looking rear, but I can see it takes elements from other ferraris like testarossa and F355 etc but to have a generic looking rear based on that done like that to me is too generic for my eyes to look at and feel good about hahahah reminds me of terrible GTA designs

That mockup is neat. but I'd have done something with the bumper to ease my pain. The kind of indentation and bevel around the nameplate or numberplate looks like it belongs on a econobox from that time, not a supercar. Also I'd put the number plate on that grille or much lower on the bumper...something feels off it being where it is

The basic style of the lights is spot on, but they're way too small in comparison to the rest of the car - makes the rear look empty.
The XJ and the Testa have massive rear lights, even the 308 had fairly large rear lamps.

Actually, the entire car looks empty.

Unrelated but I did this, just to look at bodylines and proportions. It's wheelbase is a little long?

Nothing particularly interesting to note, in fact it's not got a lot going for it at all - needs some intakes to breakup an otherwise completely flat, slab-sided design.
The Bolide is a culmination of all the 'meh' bits of 80's supercars.

I always get distinct Mondial T vibes when looking at the Bolide, probably because of the straight beltline and (relatively) long wheelbase...

i can see the resemblance now that you mention it

tbh I always saw the Bolide as an entry level 'bland' supercar as opposed to a more serious contender such as a 512BB or such

To be fair, the car has not really been updated since it came out, and beam likely couldn’t handle too many details at that time.

All the more why I'd love for it to have a second generation or at least new parts. But seriously.
Imagine what a second generation bolide would look like ;)

I did some time trial testing of all the BeamNG cars last week and found out the Civetta Bolide to be close to uncontrollable.
I checked the live wheel data debug and played a lot with the setups, but the suspension of the Bolide seems to be fundamentally flawed compounded by horrible default setups.
Has anyone ever poked around the suspension bits and improved it?
The camber curves are way to aggressive, you get almost 3-4 degrees of camber change over the full travel. It makes the rear end of the car feel like a swing axle when drooping.
The default toe is also really bad, with the rear axle having toe-out, making the car swap ends under power and braking.
If you put super stiff suspension with sticky tires and correct the toe, it makes it somewhat driveable. But it is not realistic (cars were soft those days) and any decent bump will still upset the car.
The dynamic camber and default setups really need to be improved on this car for it to be realistic and driveable.

Fun fact: the bolide says it has a flatplane v8.
While the maserati engine that is sampled a cross plane v8. Dem devs made a goof again....

I just experimented with the wheelbase of the Bolide; shortening it by 0.13 meters and I think it looks a lot better this way

    i dont see the difference

yeah, but still, the shelby gt350 uses a flatplane but because of the headers and firing order is sounds like a cross plane, and the bolide sounds just like one. The mclaren p1 doesnt sound like a flatplane, is sounds angry and shouty like a crossplane. I agree that they may have made a flatplane sound like a crossplane, but it still is the only reason i drive the bolide.
