Granted, you can just manipulate the rusty texture on the doors and get the UV's of the crew cab, and then line them up. Skin cration is very simple to grasp, there's tons of videos and the wiki even gives an in-depth tutorial

Perhaps I should clarify that this line was in the 0.19.3 changelog:

The question is, do we think this is going to happen in the next major update, or do we think 'eventually' going to take more time than that?

Well yes, but they didn't mention that each bodystyle has their own UV's. It's probably just the regular cab

Wow, the point has gone right over your head twice now... YellowRusty was clearly speculating over if the skin will be replaced by its aforementioned replacement in the next update or not. Not whether the current skin will be altered to fit the crew cab/extended cab.

    That's correct.

And I'm a bit torn on that one - my first instinct was that it looks like all the map assets for the Port & Industrial remasters are done, and remaining map work is restricted to placing items, reworking the AI, and other technical bits that free up the art team for things like fixing the rusty skin.

Then I remembered the sheer amount of parts that are going into the D-series that need textures.

I think this is going to be a bit of a coin toss - though maybe those new dovetailed & widebody panels could influence the outcome.

Oi lads we got some new water physics! Can't wait to drive 'round those rivers, will be more fun and challenging no doubt.

Well after watching it it seems we might be getting a proper water current. Might have also heard a splashing sound, which would be great to have.

This is something I would not have expected.

It's completely out of the blue.

And I couldn't be more pleased! This is going to revolutionize the way we handle river fording off-road (there are at least two trails on official maps that allow this - ECUSA and JRI), change the way every crash into water looks and behaves, and potentially spawn a whole new genre of crash videos.

Certain tires float when detached from the vehicle, correct? We could have rubber-duck races with wheels.

Come to think of it, do any props float?

Empty steel barrel. I was at one point using it to test the "true sea level" of different maps.

Though I'm not sure if this is a physics change, or just a graphical one. Don't we technically already have flowing water in the game?

I think that there's only one way to find out - fire up the game, and start dropping things into the river to see if they get pushed along like the Piccolina in the video was.

Maybe the Piccolina can float for a few minutes similar to the claims of Volkswagen Beetles floating.

Yes for the ECU one, but the JRI one is technically part of the water plane/ocean in the level, and those probably won't have any physical flow to them. Guess we'll just need to get some more ;)

Not last I checked. Objects on even steeply inclined rivers just sorta float in place iirc. Current[rimshot]ly the flow is purely visual.

I wonder if this will make waves physical, too.

Well, I couldn't find the spot depicted in the twitter video, so I'd say that there's a good chance that something is in the works.

Well, this barrel didn't move an inch towards the waterfall, even when placed in what was visibly quicker-moving wate;r so that assertion seems to be correct.

Physical waves? That's an interesting thought - I wonder how far this water rework is going to go.

I can't believe I forgot that - I've driven through those so many times, it's like I don't notice them anymore.

Waves are slightly physical already. Spawn a giant ball to a sea surface. It starts to spin and gains 1-2 mph airspeed after a while.
