Dismal download speed with the new updater

I'm not surprised at all. When over nine thousand players try to download a file at the same time, this is what pretty much always happens. :<

 

nah, it seems to be counting the existing files for version 0.3.0.5 as 100% complete and then downloads atop that (if you look his updater is downloading too), it then seems to seed the old files.

 

I wonder how dead the servers are right now.

 

The green bar is at 100% but it keeps downloading, it's now at 40 MB.

 

Yea, that's why I ran the updater in a clean directory. I don't trust it to update my current version of the game. It's just downloading everything again.

 

Is it just cos everyone is trying to do it at once???

 

At 21 in the evening. While it's raining. BRILLIANT!

 

It does peer while downloading, with nothing else running windows 8 performance shows me uploading at 4mb/s

 

IMPORTANT
Copy BeamNG files to alpha_prerace folder, erase "update" file and you'll get 61% instantly!

 

No one expected this to be a quick download We've all been counting down together, probably all hit download together too. I'm at 66%, started at 61%. This is an all nighter I think!

 

Try using OpenDNS, and keep seeding

 

Wouldn't that just trick the updater to thinking it's the new files, when it's really the old ones?
