Its almost ready to go ingame: well, its technically ingame XD: and now its ingame being textured. (12- 17 fps omg): (imported from here)
The pleasures of porting. A lot of people think its just a 1 click thing. I'm here to tell you its not.
its worse when you have over 2000 models in one file, and have to remove most of the unneeded files to make it actually run XD. (it almost crashed my 3D model viewer even for the port im currently doing, since there was tiny people everywhere with about 400 verts EACH, and I had to find each and remove them one at a time. how am I still sane) - - - Updated - - - on puregrid with the default truck (garvil D-series) about 80-90 fps. dry rock island with same vehicle: 25 fps Did a lap, it took 4 min 30 seconds.
Well, he has a Phenom II and a 550ti so I'm guessing it would be playable for people with better hardware. (Not me though. I have a A8 3850..)
The progress is real I really wanted to keep the skid marks, but I've tried everything with the alpha maps and they still turn out as one big blob of black. If anyone knows how I will greatly appreciate some help ^.^
all ya do is take the texture into paint or photoshop and remove the texture you want to be alpha so its not there, not make it black, just make it not exist. (hope ya understand, if you dont you could send a (just one) texture and I can show you what I mean)
Oh yeah... I still have that half finished frame somewhere on my HDD... It needs redone though. Ill go hunting and put that back on top of my priorities.
If that's from Assetto Corsa, you can't release it here. The DEV's don't want their art on other forums. Remember Lotus 49?
Upon further investigation it is indeed the layout from Assetto Corsa. But the track is from rfactor that was made in 2005-2008, therefore its in no way possible that it can be the Assetto Corsa mesh. Also, while making this track I had no idea AT ALL until one of you guys pointed it out. The reason I was doing this track is because its an real life track, and you know me and real life tracks, we go well togeather.
weeee driftrack with walltaps Sweeet So uh... Slidenodes then... This had to happen didn't it? It's a tank, by the way.
