Not sure of anyone else noticed, but this mod will have been in development for THREE YEARS tomorrow. Congrats to @Sithhy™ For not giving up after multiple restarts for the three years of mod development.
Thank you I wish I could release it on the 3rd anniversary, but sadly it's still not ready to be given to the public after all those years, main reason being @atv_123 a busy person, which is understandable; life before games. With all of this said, hopefully we will be able to release it before the end of this year, considering a certain someone joined us to help with all the jbeam
Has there been any estimation of when the mod will release for us? Cuz this thing looks fine af and I can't wait to try it out.
For real tho man. Been watching this thread since 2017. It is kinda unfortunate that this mod is "always in progress" but it means that we will get a better quality mod in the end. This will probably be one of the highest quality mods on beamng when it is done.
i agree. everytime the authors post new pictures, the car just keeps looking better and better, with more and more awesome parts. i think in the end it will be as close to reality as a game can get, the authors are doing an amazing job with this mod.
I would change it to a Bruckell, (Bruckell Brutus) with a '96 facelift and these engine options- 3.9L TD i4 (1984-95) 4.9L V6 (1990-06 added to slot below 348, in 1996 got an HO variant to replace 348) 5.7L (348) V8 (1984-95) 5.9L D V8 (1984-95) 5.9L TD V8 (1984-06) 6.6L TD i6 (1984-06) 7.7L (470) V8 (1990-06 added as a more powerfull alternative to 5.9 TD) 6.8L D V10 (1996-06 to replace 5.9L D) 6.8L D V10 (1995 only in gen 2 test mule config, was not as good as 5.9 TD so cancled) this might be too much, just how I would do it.
IMO, Because although hummer was owned by GM, I feel that it also deserves its own brand name like Hummer. It seems odd to me that a vehicle so iconic with its own brand would be under a subsidiary brand that makes other vehicle types when the Hummer brand just made Hummers. Although it doesn't have to be how it is in real life, it seems weird to me.
The reason why it's like that because if Hummer was their own seperate marque, GM would have to make entirely new ad campaigns and whatnot. Although it's called the GMC Hummer, you would still get a truck that says "Hummer" on it. I think it's cool GMC gets their own exclusive vehicle for their line-up because it would help differentiate them from their Chevrolet counterpart.
That's also something that's off. GMC is known for making SUVs, Crossovers, and Trucks. Bruckell makes cars like the Moonhawk, and the LeGran. It doesn't seem natural to me that it would be a Bruckell.
Can we not bring this "THIS BRAND IS LIKE THIS REAL LIFE BRAND" shit here? Besides, he has long chosen to stick with the Brutus B1 name for a while now, so making name suggestions shouldn't even be relevant by now.
