Released RK's Highly Customizable Engine (Now V8!) 4.0.7

I REALLY like the idea of this, and it's a super cool mod on its own! But do you think you could pretty pretty pleeeease with a cherry on top add beater/crappy parts? Maybe I have an unhealthy obsession with crappy cars (because I've owned 5 used cars, 4 of which cost under 2 grand, and 2 of those under 1, okay!?) like my current one as seen on my avatar profile picture, but it would be GREAT if I could use your engine to perfect an ultimate beater, like with stuff such as maybe:

• an iffy starter (that would make you have to push the gas pedal a lot to get it to start quicker),
• faulty spark plugs (slows the car in general, makes idling rough, and can cause a whole slew of other problems, unsurprisingly),
• blown headgasket* (makes the exhaust turn a funny color perhaps),
• worn timing belt (car handling becomes jankier/more unpredictable and it makes funny noises),
• exhaust intake manifold with rust holes (makes car ridiculously loud),
• made-in-China Ebay turbocharger parts (that do do their jobs...sometimes...)

- I have a TON of ideas, and if they could come true in this mod, then I could finally make a car as shit as mine in game!


*(Okay, so maybe my own headgasket isn't blown, but my license plate did in fact manage to get itself stolen recently...my kinda ideas in your mod would be a great pick me up! (alongside a couple of beers and such too, ofc)

 

Hey, some faulty parts are in it right now. On the i5 specifically. But your ideas sounds nice. Pm me with some more ideas and we can talk about it, but I can't promise to get every of your ideas working.

 

I dont know if this would be possible but you could try adding presets to the engines.

 

Do you mean on the part selector or make car configs?
Both should work.

At the part selector it maybe could work aswell. You can choose the engine and then stock, various tunes, faulty engine, yeah would be nice.
I will try that when I start rework the engine

I think the next one like the poll is right now will be the I6, but I will decide when I start add a new one.
And I need to learn how to convert engine model from one car to another with working textures. Otherwise a I6 or i5 with a v8 model would be akward

 

Can you model the intakes and add twin turbos?

 

I will try to use original engine models.i can't model, without any help there will be no new models. But I will try to change the model with turbo or supercharger when equipped.

 

by me doesnt work engine sound, l5 anv8 ist same and cars with this engines doesnt have power...when i second time start ist broken engine why?

 

Do you have any other mods installed which might conflict with this mod? Didn't heart of this problem yet.

Akward. Delete the mod, Clear the cache and try it again.
Watch in the folder if you have any other old files from the mod and delete it too.

Akward, when you unsubscribe the mod, delete the whole mod folder and install it again?

The thing is the engine itself yeah, but the model. You would have the i4 of i5 engine model
But If I get it working to swap engine models I will add every engine to every car

 

the engine losing torque after driving it a little bit (i tried it with the strongest parts) and its on the i5

 

What do you mean with it loses torque?
