Not a fortune teller, we will see. We hope so. And we hope that people don't just go around posting 'agree' on purpose to annoy us. Will be considered spam.
If it's just a minority who use "informative" as a way to bully someone, why don't moderators just perma-ban those peoples who make the forum more toxic ? I don't measure how much it represent but it could be a better way than private every forum member from those reactions
Personally i will say that, but not to piss you off, but to just react to posts, i used agree quite often to actually agree to people.
well if we had to perma ban the 43 guys that rated info to someone then all good modders and good member would be banned
i dont think people will do that just to spam, some wont even see this. they want to express their opinion, and since agree is gone, they type it out. most dont do it to annoy staff, but just to share an opinion. people like to share opinions, but usually have nothing to add. as for the like is similar enough, not really. like is a simple i like this, while agree is for when you agree with a person, wether or not you like what is said
It's a per user setting. You can do that on your own account. But why would one be forced to disable his notifications because of some troll is spamming them for you?
I was not asking to ban the 43 guys who rated informative a post, but ban the guy who rated 43 post of someone in the only idea to bully him (and the moderators can see it because the user reported this guy who spam "informative")
when dev first did a rating delete they added the unagree and dislike, then realized it was used to be rude they deleetd it
I think its pretty clear that the majority here at least want agree back, why bother justifying removing agree if it's basically the same as like and just keep it?
ooh boy, It looks like time for "The Great Button Saga II: Electric Boogaloo." I remember proposing back at the last rating button saga the ability for either moderators or the creator of a thread to choose what ratings are available, so bug/support threads can have "informative" and "useful", but not "funny", whereas community screens doesn't need infomative etc., but (arguably, I admit) could have the "funny" rating. further yet, a thread such as "hot or not cars" in offtopic could even potentially benefit from a disagree rating. was this overlooked, or is it too hard/simply impossible to implement with the forum software?
i remember the dumb/trash and the funny one Since i basically got bullied and people started spamming me with it i was briefly on top of the negative ratings list before they took it down that many ratings really opens the floodgates for bullying and harassment, if you ask me
