EDIT: Fixed an error Well, it's me again. I'm gonna respond to an article about discipline. Keep in mind that I'm basically sharing opinions and whatnot. Anyways, here we go I guess. When you say discipline, do you mean telling a child no sometimes and setting rules like no being mean to people, no calling anybody racist or homophobic slurs, no beating up people, no doing inappropriate things, telling them to be nice and telling them they can't always get what they want, plus not giving into every demand? Or, do you mean giving children rules like not using the bathroom after a certain time, controlling what kind of music they listen to, telling them they have to go to sleep at a certain time, telling them what they should do with their lives, or making all the choices for them even when they become adults? If it's the former, then I agree. If it's the latter, I disagree. I mean, teaching them basic manners is important. Is discipline telling children no sometimes and and giving them reasonable rules to follow? If that's the case, then this point is valid. Things like doing things you don't wanna do and resisting temptations is what people may call self-discipline, but I call doing things you don't wanna do sucking it up and resisting temptations self control. Also, kids without any discipline whatsoever may be rotten little brats that think they can have what they want whenever they want it, but I don't think everybody has to be overly happy and positive. I also think people should be allowed to be angry. I think sadness is my least favorite emotion, so I would rather be angry then sad. By the way, does discipline actually make kids happy, or does it just make them socially acceptable? People can be negative if they want. I think positivity is kinda boring to be honest. However, I am gonna try to resist temptations and maybe challenge myself, but we'll see where that goes. Okay, that's actually informative and helps me understand this discipline thing better, but discipline to people might mean punishment or something like that. I'm not saying the meaning of discipline is bad. I just don't like the word. Discipline (as a word, not the meaning) just bothers me. I know curse words bother people, but I would rather hear curse words then hear the word discipline, I think we should call discipline something else, so people don't think the meaning of discipline means punishment. I would rather use terms like "sucking it up", "getting it done", and "self-control" then self discipline. Maybe that's good. I just don't like that word. I don't just wanna be an overly confident narcissist. I guess believing in yourself is okay, as long as it's not taken to the extreme. Well, I can admit that I've made mistakes. Does that make me disciplined? @appesh1, I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Are there any articles about psychology and mental health stuff you want me to respond to? I would love to know. Anyways, goodnight everyone.
Well, that's cool. I like it too. OT: Improvement Pill released another video. It's about some YouTube course apparently. He basically says that automated channels make a bunch of money and blah, blah, blah, blah. Phym and @SuperchargedAndSavage!, I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Honestly, I think this video is boring as sin. It doesn't have much entertainment value in my opinion.
Improvement Pill sucks. Do you really need to be automated to be successful on YouTube? The video was not only boring, but it's tedious too.
No, Improvement pill is(in my mind) worse than Jake Paul, and that’s saying a lot. His voice is also annoying and he sucks at drawing.
Absolutely agree. Improvement Pill's animation isn't very good. It's better then GoAnimate!, Rugrats, and The Fairly Oddparents in my opinion, but that isn't saying much. I hope MrEnter makes a video ranting on Improvement Pill eventually. If he doesn't, hopefully I can make a rant on Improvement Pill when/if I get my entertainment career started. lol, I don't think he's dead. Did you dislike the Improvement Pill video too? I thought it was very tedious to watch.
You mean to tell me that animation produced by what is in all likelihood one person is better than animation produced by teams of TV animation professionals and that's somehow a LOW bar? I'm not overly familiar with the channel and what I've seen of the above video didn't have much actual animation, but if it's beating multiple TV shows in the animation quality department, I'd say it must be doing pretty good. While I'm at it, I hope you know that by constantly bringing this dude up, you're only serving to make him more famous. Perhaps he doesn't have the most interesting videos or is the most qualified to speak about his topics, but that's just not damning enough for a forum user to bring him up three times a week and absolutely nobody reading these posts to wonder if there might be something to it.
Well, I do like bashing Improvement Pill. @appesh1, @Phym, and @SuperchargedAndSavage! dislike him too. Also, the animation thing is my opinion. I might be making Improvement Pill more famous by talking about him, but I like talking about him anyways. Also, GoAnimate is an online animation program. Not a TV Show. My point was that I personally thought the animation of Rugrats and The Fairly Oddparents was worse then Improvement Pill's animation. Technically, the animation in the TV shows has more effort put into it, but the animation of the two shows I mentioned actually bother me quite a lot. Improvement Pill's animation isn't great in my opinion, but it doesn't bother me like the animation of Rugrats and The Fairly Oddparents. However, I like bashing Improvement Pill because he gives bad advice and he tells others what to do with their lives. Now, you may ask "If you dislike the channel, then why are you watching it?". The reason I watch the videos is to see how bad they actually are. I can't bash a channel without watching the videos, so I watch the videos and share my thoughts on them. Improvement Pill is not only boring, but he's tedious, annoying, and tells others what to do. Look, Improvement Pill can do whatever works for him, but he needs to understand that some people like doing things their way. Improvement Pill sucks in my opinion, because he acts like he's such a know it all and he's authoritative. I don't mind suggestions and advice, but Improvement Pill is taking it way too far in my opinion. I know I bash this guy a lot, but I think it's completely justified. Imagine you wanted to start a business and you wanted to go to an business school to learn how to start a business and get an MBA (Master's of Business Administration) and he told you not to. How would that make you feel? Would you be mad? I know I would if he told me not to do something that I wanted to do for a good reason. I don't feel like starting a business right now, but maybe I want to in the future. Who knows? That's my reason for bashing Improvement Pill. If you like him, that's fine. I just wanted to share on why I don't like him. End of post.
That's a good point, but the animation of those shows in my opinion is absolute garbage. It bothers me, like a lot. OT: I watched The Nutty Professor and I very much enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the fart jokes along with a few other minor issues. Other then that, I loved it. Did any of you guys see it?
I actually hadn't heard of him before you and the others mentioned him here. And I haven't seen enough of his videos to form an opinion on him, it just seemed odd and perhaps a bit unhealthy to me that you kept bringing him up despite your resentment. But I'll take you at your word about him, and I understand your reservations about his channel and what he tries to accomplish. As for animation, are there any TV cartoons that stand out as having good or exceptional animation? Just to get a metric.
Fair enough. To answer your question. I don't know about TV, but I think this video has decent animation.
Wonder why he got banned. Are the devs gonna ban me or SuperAusten64 next? @appesh1, I'm excited to hear your thoughts on that discipline article I responded to. I'm also kinda curious if you have any mental health articles for me to respond to. If you don't, that's fine.
Who cares? If people misbehave, they get banned. Big deal. Also, I thought he acted pretty immaturely.
