Does anybody have a vehicle model that can handle serious weight?

I've always wanted to add a huge weight to a truck/car in the game. Like, 2000lbs in the trunk or 20,000lbs in the back of the cargo truck.

I saw a truck with a trailer (Fifth wheel) but are there any vehicles that can handle such a load? And how to get the load in there?

    thanks

Here we see a lost traveler. Posting a question in Mods and Skins is not how to do things here.

Yeah, I dont want to start a new thread somewhere else now so I'm sure some wonderful forum administrator could just move the thread.

But on to the question.. can the weight thing be done?

Well, technically yes, you can try driving the Covet into the Cabster, Or perhaps put one or two concrete barriers in, but that's only about 1000kg - 2000kg added. Double sided collision isn't implemented, so I'd think that anything weighing more than ~ 3000kg would glitch right through the bottom of any sort of truck.

Yeah I've actually already done that. The concrete barrier just slides out through the bottom and sides. How hard can it be to make the walls and floor of the cargo truck like steel?

Hard. But if you don't think it's that hard, then add the code yourself.

What's with the freaking attitude? My assumption, since I'm not a coder, is that it's a matter of adjusting the strength of the walls and floor so that's why I said it's probably not that hard.

collisions between vehicles have always been off. The coltris don't have thickness and as soon as a large force pushes 2 faces against each other they slide through and get stuck. Its a known issue and being worked on. When its sorted (update after race update I think) then you'll be able to stick loads in there no problem.
