The eye-piercing error colors indicate that there are missing materials in your map. Do you have materials files in your folder structure?

    The folders for your level.

Your level is under Documents>BeamNG.drive>levels, right?

Okay, under that folder, there should be several other folders. Is there one in your level folder named 'art'?

Under that, there should be one called 'terrains'. If there isn't one, create one.

Then, open another explorer window and go to your Steam* install directory C:>Program Files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>common and then >BeamNG.drive. This is the game's install directory, and contains all of the art and programming needed to make the vanilla game work normally. Once you're there, let me know.

*If you're not a Steam user and got the game through another means, say Humble Bundle, your install directory will be in a different location. I'm sorry to say I'm not sure where.

Okay, so you do have a materials file in your level. However, it may be broken, or perhaps empty. Do you mind screenshotting what the file looks like when you open it?

Hmm. I'm not too sure why that's not working. Did you want to keep the grid material that you're borrowing, or do you want another material (such as dirt or grass) instead?

Oh, also, if you press the 'Reply' button on the bottom-right corner of my comments, I'll get a notification to tell me that you've answered.

For now, to keep things simple, I'm going to have you copy one of the official terrain material files. That way we don't have to worry about the complexities of making a material from scratch.

Do you know how to use private messages?

Yes. It'll probably be easier to talk there. For 'participants' just put in my screen name.
