i think so, the 3A-HU makes 85hp at 6000 rpm and has the same bore and stroke as the 3A-U, if you want you can lower it down to 6000-6200. About the rev limiter, i don't even know, it's quite an old engine, from 78'-80's, and on top of that, it's carbureted. not many carbureted engines had a rev limiter. but from what i can see, it has some electrical stuff coming out of the carb which i don't know what they are
i have some suggestions: 1. 20v still sounds wrong ill just link a video here (its close enough), have the redline for the 20v at 10k RPM as IRL it cant go 11k or 12k. 2. 3A-U has different sound and doesnt have 20v, only 8v 3. you can try making a livery that has a black line on the bump on the door (like in the pic) 4.the popups have a massive gap under them when engaged.
Forgot to change the name of the 3A-U to 8V from 16V, accident. I'll see what I can do for the sounds, though it might not come out great and I'll try to add the black strip
no, i mean the real 20v (formula atlantic) can only go 10k with the sport intake, 12k is basically impossible.
I read your post incorrectly, sorry about that. I thought you said have the redline for the 20v at 10k RPM as IRL it *can* go 11k or 12k as in you didn't know about the sport intake.
The only thing I'm curious about is what happened to schumacher's live axle suspension that he said he was going to implement. The jbeam looked alright from the screenshots and stuff, along with the model, but maybe I'm missing something.
Hello folks, I've just seen that some of you are fixing this quite dated mod. I just wanted to thank you for that, so others can still enjoy the AE86 for Beamng. Since many things changed over time with all of the game updates, also modding has changed a bit from what I have seen. My time is sadly still quite limited and I have kinda changed my priorities working on real cars than mods, so I can't learn all of these new features currently. The live axle itself worked fine but since I've taken it from the Grand Marshall (if I remember correctly), there was a huge issue with the rear brakes and the handbrake. They didn't worked at all and I was unable to make them work. I think I still have all of the modified files on my computer, though I don't think it's worth fixing the old files. I would rather use newest files from the Grand Marshall and implement them into the 86. But if anyone of you enjoys working on the axles I would also provide these old files. Greetings, schumacher
Here are some 4AGE 16V and 20V sound samples, with some AE85 sounds (only good video i could find of the 3A-U)
Yo, thanks for continuing to release hotfixes and stuff for this mod. You've taken what was originally a great mod with some quirks and bugs and helped get it closer to perfection with each hotifx. Just wanted to say thanks.
i usually don´t comment on these forums but.....i can´t hold to say thanks you for these hotfixes, a mod that was supposed to be outdated now had kinda turned into a community project and....i love this kind of stuff i have some audio files stripped and few 3D models made by Dazy (creator of the Satsuma mod) that if he allowed me to provide, i´ll gladly give them again, just..thanks you man, really, thanks you for these fixes <3
race suspension on the rear likes to break, will try and get a vid in a bit (ik this is being kept going by others, lol)

I have a dumb question, since im not really familiar with modding this game, other than by using the repository. (i did search this thread to check if this question was already asked, but might have missed it). do i need to download all of the hotfixes, or just the latest one? also i appreciate you guys keeping this car alive, i know modding can be thankless, and can even be at the end of pitchforks of an ingrateful mob, so i want to state that there are people who are grateful and appreciate what you are doing.
