    Would be hard to drift into the wall with exactly the same speed and angle 50 times :p

    Alright, map has vegetation now :D There are 8 types of plants. Now I need some trees and bushes.

    plant.jpg And they move with the wind :D

    I'm no expert but I thought plants grow on grass, not asphalt :p

    Nice to see people making maps :) Just be careful when "finding 3d models over the internet", make sure you have permission from the author and clearly credit people when posting screens etc. Good luck!

    He said he is using completely open source models, and has the permissions for everything.

    Also, the trees, like the sunflare, look all nice, but I don't think palm trees fit so much :D (I'm guessing you were just showing it all off)

    I recently made this grass texture (taken from scotland) that i have edited to make it tile so it loops properly. If you want to see if it looks ok on your map then feel free to give it a go, it is the first i have made so it isn't perfect. In other words if you don't like it then feel free to say why. You can use it without giving credit ,but it isn't just for your exclusive use as i am hoping to make a couple more textures and make a pack.

    I have also uploaded the original photo so that people don't claim i stole it. It was taken on a galaxy s2 smartphone.

    EDIT:
    Also feel free to alter the image if necessary too

    I've combined it with another grass texture that was mainly dirt, it looks a lot better than the grass I had.

    There we go. Looks much more realistic with that slightly darker grass texture.

    Glad that you like it.

    I made this road textured one as well if you wish to use it. My foot making a customary appearance in the original :p

    Hey David, I just took some Hi-Res shots with my camera, on some of our driveways / roads (and a dirt texture) will upload soon! :)

    Here they are! I will make these available to any developer who wishes to use them. :) And, if you want to, I am willing to take some more texture shots if you want me to.

    These have not been resized, they are raw files. (didn't know your res size)

    Mine were 2048x2048, they can then be resized to smaller if necessary for fps etc. Always make sure to make the texture square and to the power of 2 (8x8,16x16,32x32, .... , 1024x1024, 2048x2048, 4096x4096 and so on) The reason for this is while most game engines will sort things out for you, you will receive better performance if you abide by this.
    Also you will probably need to make them tile so that they can be used seamlessly, so there appears there are no edges to the image in game. This only applies to textures that need that.

    Newer to this thing, as you can tell. ;) I have little to no photo editing experience, so I would be more for raw files, not editing. hehe
