If he's going to make the jbeam not to look and deform like a Miramar, is it still considered as a bad mod? I don't think these kind of things deserves that much hate (if made good), and no, I'm not defending meshslaps or something.
There are a lot of good meshslaps, through. Like Satsuma AMP, LMSC and some others. If person don't know modelling but knows JBEAM it can become good mod
well most "good meshslaps" have heavily edited jbeams from official vehicles which arent really called meshslaps anymore
They are still meshslaps because models are taken from different games, not modelled by the authors. So still, they are good meshslaps. As I said before, it is not bad. Not all people have enough skills to 3d model an entire car
Where the model is from does not matter, even a model made from scratch, when placed on an existing and unmodified Jbeam - it is a 'meshslap'. If the Jbeam has been edited to a significant degree, with correct weights and such, then it's up for debate if it's still a 'meshslap' or not. But again, the origin of the mesh is not responsible for it becoming a meshslap but the modder's unwillingness to properly edit an existing Jbeam or better still, create a vehicle Jbeam from scratch.
Frav tells me he wants to get the MGB to as high a quality as @Nekkit ’s Lada Car Pack, which people seem to like even though they’re meshslaps. He edits the jbeams on most of the meshslaps he makes anyway, take this saab for an example: The saab’s Jbeam actually fits it quite well. I also help him with engine and gearbox swaps to make his mods as realistic as possible, so could everyone please just stop going on about meshslaps and appreciate that he is trying to make them as good as he can.
I'd say that this is an interesting concept I've fixed the rear quarter glass and added the Tograc parts Also I have altered the doorline as @skodakenner suggested: The wagon's almost done mesh-wise, there are only a few more things I gotta edit to make it "wagonized" and then I can start on extending the jbeam
So about the RHD Vivace...I'm glad people are eager to try it out, but there is one final thing that need to be sorted out, I already made a thread about it in the Content Creation subforum to no avail, and I'm sorry to repeat the request for help here, but the entire mod is being helded by this small annoyance. The interior was swapped without any major issues, but the wipers...every time I do anything to them, it's not the flipping, even just move a single part 1mm away from the original spot, the whole thing goes body colored, and I'm already out of ideas, anyone can give me a hand with this please? And to make the post more appealing and as another tease of things hopefully to come soon, the Tograc E RHD interior, one of the configs being included, which counts as actual progress (notice the turquoise wipers as well...) :
Goodbye rear doors! no taillights - no rear glass - wonky jbeam - it only looks good on one side - no configs - super sketchy overall
