    Yes, I'd like to make a recovery truck upfit at some point.
    There will be few loads with built-in ropes that can be connected to the crane like trailers. Those loads can be also rotated using keys while operating the crane.

    If you want to lift anything other, you can use mouse grabbing and attach it to crane manually.

    So far we have this one:

    I might do the Federal Police one in case we get a tanker upfit one day.
    The firetruck upfit is not skinnable yet as far as I know and as mentioned before it will not be included at initial release. And what is it with the Berlin skin anyways, many volunteer units have better looking firetrucks :D

    Would something like this be an option?



    Also, since the dumpbed is being reworked, what about loads in the parts selector e.g. wooden planks, concrete retaining wall parts and cinder blocks?

    I think you had to first lift this thing a bit, so the ropes are tightened, and then drive the car onto it. It might be a bit tricky, depending on the car and how easily the construction slides away.

    Lifting shouldn't be a problem, this is a screenshot I took a while back, when I attempted to lift a car with ropes only.
    The rope is cutting into the car, but if it was standing on that construction and the ropes had a certain length, I don't see that problem.

    For more stability, the 2 "tire holders" could be connected, maybe instead of a sling using some fixed metal parts.
