"YES! Not Going Doesn't Make You "Cool" or a "Free Spirit" As a second year undergrad at a State University I would like to chuck every one of my textbooks at lazy kids who don't want/ didn't go to college. Excuse 1: "College is too expensive" Ok yes, money is always a concern regarding higher education but guess what: FINANCIAL AID IS A THING. If you were really is money crunched as you say you *would* receive aid. All you have to do is try. And even if you dont: WHO CARES. I come from a solidly middle class family and the amount of aid I *don't* receive is staggering. But I wanted this for myself so I, as an adult decided to work out a system with my parents and pay off my loans after graduation. Loans may suck but adulting feels SO GOOD. Excuse 2: "College isnt that important, I can still be successful without it". If you're saying that you can be just as successful as your college educated peers (which was proven untrue by hundreds of studies but mmkay) then why not take the chance and go to college anyway? Excuse 3: "Just because you went to college doesn't make you smarter" ....Bruh Excuse 4: "I already know what I want but college isn't it" You think you know a lot of things when you're still in high school. Excuse 5: "I can't go to college because I want to travel and experience the world instead" Ummm Study Abroad is a thing and so are are Out of State/ Non-local schools Conclusion: Stop making excuses and GO. TO. COLLEGE" Janellethebelle Oh crap, here we go again with the "everyone should go to college" bs. This comment above me is an opinion from debate.org. Let's start with the lazy kids part. Some people actually can't do college or they're too busy to go. Just because someone doesn't go to college doesn't mean they're lazy. Let's respond to the "excuses". 1: Some people can't afford it and may not be able to use loans. Keep in mind that I don't know much loans. 2: There are plenty of successful college dropouts. By the way, do you have proof of those studies you were talking about? 3: College can make you smarter, but I don't think everyone has to be a super smart know-it-all. 4: Some people who don't want to go to college are people with jobs and kids. 5: Maybe there is a thing called Study Abroad, but some people might get sick of school after they graduate from high school. Conclusion: I do not believe everyone should be forced to go to college. I hate comments like this, because I feel like they're telling others what to do. EDIT for #2: I think this person was talking about the studies that college grads make more, but those are on average. There are exceptions I'm sure. By the way, there are successful billionaires who dropped out of college according to Google.
Teen Titans Go! is that one american show that cartoon network ALWAYS airs. It's just, wierd.. However, this one. This one. It's so bad that I couldn't even watch a few minutes of it.[/QUOTE] yeah I HATE teen titans go think it should be canceled when I was 12 years old I hated starfire and I still do till this day!!!
Hey @appesh1, I would love it if you could share your thoughts on the 2 recent posts of mine (one of which debunking some Reddit comments and the other one debunking a debate.org comment), but you don't have to if you don't want to.
EDITED POST: Okay then. Exactly, though I do have a question. If you couldn't afford college, could you like work for it? I am worried that making college more affordable will make it even harder to find a job without a degree, but that's probably my anxiety talking. College can be a great backup. However, if I wanted to learn about video making. I think it would make more sense for me to ask someone I know that has experience in video making how to make videos and have them show me how to do them instead of doing a course. It also depends on the career you want to do. I think the studies about college grads making more are generally true, but I do think there are exceptions. Now obviously, you need college to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, professor, etc. Gender studies (I think) has to do with political stuff that I can't go into detail about due to the forum rules. College does make you smarter from what I've heard, though I don't think everybody needs a Bachelors degree. Exactly. This is a very good point. Wait, do you have to make videos to get money from travelling the world or no? Anyways, good point I love to hear your thoughts on the post of me debunking Reddit. One of the Reddit comments I responded to is about Pysch2Go which you seem very interested in.
Wait, you consider "the college could be more mandatory if we make it affordable" question good? I thought it was just an anxiety thing I had. Well, for all I know. You could get the experience, but not the degree, which is what you need to get the job. Um, I don't if that gender studies thing I said is true or not. I recommend you look it up for yourself to see if it's true. Okay, are there other ways to make money travelling the world? Yes, you can. You don't have to do it tonight. By the way, are you working on a BeamNG video? Anyways, I'm gonna go listen to some music and play Jalopy.
I agree too. I just hope there are more high paying jobs available to those who have a just high school diploma in the future. I didn't know that. Okay then. By the way, did you read the other post?
Has anyone else been hearing a lot more planes recently? I just want to know, as I've been hearing a lot of "whooshes" over the past week.
Hey @appesh1, I would love to know when you can respond to the other post. Thanks for being kind to me @MrJavelin, Thanks for that funny mobile home thing you did for me on Community Screenshots.
