This past week hasn’t been good for me. I’ve had to sell all my cars to pay off my debts, and while it worked for a little while, I’m still no where near paying off all my hospital bills. Right now I’m just trying to get along, I’m looking for a cheap car that can get me to my job. Speaking of, in light of current events, I’m working two. I’ve got my job at BeamRepairs, and at a new customs shop.
Got out of hospital and received what remained of the Hopper's scrap value. Looking for a cheap, practical vehicle like the hopper, so I can resume service as normal. It might be a long search for something in-budget. I saw a Kashira earlier, but it was out of budget
This is my new car, a 1993 Gavril Grand Marshal. It looks crappy, but the internals are still running well. --- Post updated --- I've met up with @shade-S and @Tuner from America to discuss a way to get money. When Austin talked about how he was joking around with some of his friends about starting up some illegal drug production, I laughed along with him. But then, I realized that this was the only way. We started planning right away.
(I haven't gotten any requests for anybody to join the group, I don't know what the current situation is with group joining. I think it may be shut down permanently though because I don't think we've received any new members since groups got partially shut down a while back.)
Time has come to say goodbye to my Autobello. Today I got a call from my friend asking can I buy your car for 7k grands so I accepted
The past week has been action packed for me. After getting my Caprice flooded, swapped of all expensive parts and receiving the insurance check, along with receiving and all of my stuff back, I decided to hunker down and work tirelessly on my cars. Me and @Cory5503 made a deal where I would buy his old truck, along with the axles, excluding pretty much everything else such as the motor and suspension. I spent 1 or 2 days just simply patching up all of the bullet holes before I even got to paint, from there I installed a off-road suspension kit from a local company along with a Built 6.0 Diesel V8 that I then paired with my free 6 speed auto tranny. And the end result was absolutely perfect! The paint shines and glimmers in the sunlight along with all of the now polished chrome pieces, the Diesel pulls hard and is guaranteed to last me for many miles to come, and last but not least the suspension allows me to glide over trails as if I'm in a cloud. For how much this whole project costed me, 12K is a good deal on this truck.
I wasn't satisfied with the crummy performance of the Grand Marshal, so I traded it with a friend for his 200BX. The thing is running kind of weird, and it has a few problems, but if I can fix it, I'll have a much better car. To the garage, I guess. --- Post updated --- A small amount of fixing up later, and the 200BX runs fine. all for the price of a beat up Grand Marshal.
While going through a shortcut to get to the shop faster I thought I saw what looked to be taillights in the forest right next to me, the bushes lining the trail we're pretty lush and upright, so it couldn't of been recently that a car just happened to drive though them. Nonetheless I stopped my truck, got out, and started to investigate the mysterious "Taillight". But when I shoved the branches of the bushes to the side to get a clear view of what was behind it. I was stunned, I had accidentally uncovered a old junkyard that everyone has forgotten about. I quickly went over a few car's and checked to see what was inside of them, all had titles in the gloves box. I then spotted a tractor trailer that appeared to be configured as a car hauler, I tried opening it, but to no avail as it was powered by hydraulics. But I still couldn't see inside, even through the small crack. I then gave up, went to my truck and arrived at the shop. When I got there, @brien_w and @shade-S we're outside working on Brien's new 200BX. I quickly got out of the truck and told them about what I had just found not too far from the shop. They both eagerly listened until I was done telling them the story, then without hesitation, Brien rushed to the driver's side door and was soon on his way to the junkyard, looking for cars to fill his addiction of buying hoopties and endless money pits.
I immediately took my part in the junkyard hunt, after hearing about it from @Tuner from America as well. Me and him took a drive out there in our trucks and unburied a Bluebuck for him and a Barstow for me. I tried to turn the Barstow's 423 V8 over by the fan, attached via belt to the crank pulley, with no luck. Now, that's not always a reliable method, but there were other signs that told me it was likely seized. I drug it back to the shop, nevertheless, with Austen following. I was originally going to park it for a while behind the shop, with intentions of only turning it into a rallycross beater car. But when I looked deeper into the car, I realized that it wasn't too far gone and had the potential to be a great street car. The engine was in fact locked up, but that only gave me more motivation to do more with the car. I immediately pulled the front clip off, snapping damn near every rusty bolt. Next, I pulled the engine and trans out. The engine needs a complete rebuild, which will be tackled first, but I also want to refresh the transmission while I have it out too.
would we be using that beamrp discord if it gets shut down since that server hasnt seen much activity with only a few people
(I don’t think discord is a good platform for RP. Maybe if it was formatted like our thread, with one rp channel and one selling channel. I don’t think the groups are being shut down though, rather some of the functions such as new people joining no longer work.)
tbh, If we follow the same format, we have rp channels. WCUSA, JRI Etc and a marketplace with a template --- Post updated --- i still dont know if we should jump ship to discord, Tbh i might dm you on discord.
(Buddy this is the problem: Look at the photo's. No wonder why people on here didn't jump ship immediately, it's a cluster fuck and confusing. All there needs to be is one RP thread, one Selling cars thread, and maybe a few other misc. channels about other topics. You don't need to fucking bisect the maps into sections to RP.)
oh, i see. the clusterfuck that happens on there, Sticking to the threads is better --- Post updated --- People never come back there for that reason or the others --- Post updated --- anyways @Tuner from America i think im rambling.
I don't see a reason to have 4 channels for one map. I can see having 1 channel for a map, as it kind of doesn't make sense that someone from Belasco talks and hangs with someone from Firwood, but why have 4 channels? And yeah, what is up with all the random channels?
i wish they had just one rp channel instead of it bisecting em Ima complain to Ian about the unused channels (Pls dont rat me out :L) --- Post updated --- ok i complained to remove the unused 2 Italy channels and JRI2 --- Post updated --- anyways, we can go back to RP here.
