Launch Problem

    Hey!
    I have had BeamNG for almost a year now, and around the same time i bought Automation, because i wanted to test the cars i made. And everything has been working as intended until now. Now i am no longer able to launch BeamNG, i have tried everything i could think of.
    Whenever i launches, it only launches i the background, and when through steam only utilizes 6% of my CPU, and when i launch it manually as admin, it utilizes 8%.
    I am not able to do anything with the game, it does not appear in the background, and effectivly does not affect my computer except that it utilizes a bit of CPU as said earlier.
    - Reinstalled, on 2 different drives
    - Reinstalled with Anti-virus disabled
    - Launched Manually in the system path, both normally and as admin
    - Launched through steam with Anti-virus disabled

    I hope that we are able to fix this issue together, because i really enjoy playing this game, and would love to do it more.

    That's usually caused by some program blocking the game from doing certain actions.
    Please check if you have any of these:
    https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software
    And make sure that your antivirus, and similar software are not blocking the game by mistake.

    If you are unable to located the source of the issue, you may try to change your Userfolder location (by default is Documents/BeamNG.drive)
    To do so, use the Launcher > Manage Userfolder menu. You may try a location that does not require special permissions to use (ie. C:\BeamNG.drive)

    Thanks for the help, but i am not able to load the website that you sent me, but i will try and move the Userfolder to another location.

    Thank you!
    I have looked though the list, and the only programs i have installed on the list is: Windows Defender, MSI Afterburner, OneDrive, but none of them are running atm (Disabled firewall ofc.)
    And could you please specify which launcher you mean? I am not able to move the files by myself

    This is the launcher, you should get this when you launch the game from Steam.

    Thanks for clarifying. But sadly don't even get that far when i launch the game...

    The launcher does not show if you have any launch command.
    So please check in Steam if you set any launch commands for the game by mistake:

    (must be empty)

    If you launch from an executable, make sure you are using the right one:
    BeamNG.drive.exe is the launcher.
    Using Bin64/BeamNG.drive.x64.exe or Bin32/BeamNG.drive.x86.exe will skip the launcher.

    I do not have any launch commands in steam and launched the BeamNG.drive.exe as admin

    I am not able to get a support ID, i have tried multiple times now
    It just does the same thing as before

    Hey, so i messed around alot with it yesterday
    But i found in the game path a program called Support.exe, i've launched it and now have a supportID: 69805
    Hope this helps!

    Your logs are completely corrupted.

    This issue is very certainly not coming from the game itself, but some external software is messing with it badly.

    In post #2 I suggested to change your userfolder. As you cannot use the launcher, you can do that manually in this way:
    • In the installation directory, open the startup.ini file with a text editor
    • Follow the instructions inside that file, and specify the new path to use
    If done correctly, that path should be used and it should work around the game getting messed up with if it uses the default Documents folder.

    If the issue still persists, you need to re-check all the software you have on your PC, one of them is the cause very likely.

    It worked as soon as i changed the Userfolder manually to a different one.
