There are a couple maps in the language files that seem not to be in the game at the moment. I'm wondering what they are, as there doesn't seem to be much information on them as of now. Video with the "Car Dealership" map. It has appeared in a number of the vehicle trailers and has seemed to evolve over time. From the language files. "levels.cardealer.info.title":"Car Dealership", "levels.cardealer.info.description":"A car dealership on the east coast of the United States.", "levels.cardealer.info.biome":"temperate", "levels.cardealer.info.roads":"60% fast asphalt, 40% dirt", "levels.cardealer.info.suitablefor":"car selection", "levels.cardealer.info.features":"car dealership", Is it just a dealership, or does it have roads? Some sort of void map. It seems to have more of a description in the language files than the test maps for some reason. Curious as to what it is. "levels.the_void.info.title":"The Void", "levels.the_void.info.description":"Empty void", "levels.the_void.info.biome":"...", "levels.the_void.info.roads":"70% fast asphalt, 25% fast dirt, 5% trails", "levels.the_void.info.suitablefor":"voiding things", "levels.the_void.info.features":"...", Not sure why it says "70% fast asphalt, 25% fast dirt, 5% trails" if it's just a void. More info on various things found in the language files here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/update-speculation-thread.20246/page-513#post-851504
Dealership is the old background we used for taking thumbnails of vehicles, before we settled on the more minimalist thumbnail background we now use. There are no roads that lead anywhere, or any other interesting features in it. The roads info in the language files is probably leftover text from whatever map we used as a template to create it.
I have an old version of BeamNG with the void map available in the level selector, but as previously mentioned it’s completely empty.
i assume that's the map where the official garage thumbnails were made. could you PM me the file for the map?
Some guy bumped it, then Nadeox replied before multituber could swoop in and scream “BUMP.” It’s a rare sight to behold.
