Not exactly true. Copyright is automatic and applies to any of your intellectual property (IP). For example any skin/mod I make is my IP, therefore I am the owner and the creator of the work. This means that no one can re-upload my work or claim it as their own (which is why sites such as WOM are actually illegal). Although it's up to me to enforce my own copyright. I'm not exactly sure what the terms and conditions are for BeamNG but I'd guess anything we upload is free for non-commercial use, and uploading any work that's not yours without permission from the original owner of the IP is against the terms of service. Not saying I agree with the decision to revoke permissions to the stadium, however the creator of the model (the IP owner) actually does have every right to revoke permissions (from this point onwards, this shouldn't apply for current tracks because as far as I know permission was giving up until this point?) Correct me if I'm wrong in some areas, but this is my basic understanding of copyright and IP. I believe you are getting mixed up with patents, which is the ownership of an invention/innovation. This does require documentation
