Textures and controls won't load

I had to reinstall beamNG after reformatting my PC, and now, beamNG just won't work. I really have no idea what is going on, as none of the textures are loading, I can't move the vehicle, the camera is mis-aligned and the game is completely useless. I can't even go back to the main menu! I am running Windows 8, and have an Alienware X51 R2. The included screenshot was taken on the Pure Grid level, with the Gavril Grand Marshal. I really need some help to fix this, as I can't play the game.

 

Run the updater in the BeamNG folder, it will scan and replace any missing files that may be causing the problem. When I did a fresh install i ran int the same problem (it just hadn't downloaded some of the files). Hope this helps.

That's the problem you see. This was the first idea I had, but when I went to run the updater, it wasn't there There was one file named "update.exe.old", but it seems rather useless. I don't particularly want to reinstall BeamNG again as I have terrible internet. Is there anything else that could possibly fix it or bring back the updater?

 

Rename update.exe.old to update.exe and run it.

 

Thanks, this actually worked, although it took a few edits in notepad to get it to function properly and not copy the beamNG shortcut across my desktop 400 times. Either way, thanks again, I can finally return to this wonderful game.
