Update Speculation thread

Rereading that it was originally supposed to be a Hirochi, I was wrong.

 

I really like the new vehicle overrall, but the rear of the car doesn't convince me. It's too similar to the ETK 800 series imo. I did a quick and dirty photoshop of what I personally (and you may and can disagree) think fits better on this car:

Maybe you can add this option as a standalone trim, show me what you think.

 

I think the model range is gonna be around that :
i3 with 90 or 100 hp and 190Nm torque
i4 1.5 around 136hp and 164 hp and around 250Nm and 270Nm of torque
i4 2.0 about 200hp and around 300Nm and 330Nm of torque (like the giulia 2.0 i4).
I5 at least 350 hp but I think more over 400hp

forgot the diesel
i4 diesel 1.6 around 115hp and 130hp and about 280Nm or 300Nm of torque
I4 diesel 2.0 should be around 190hp and 400Nm of torque

 

I really want to the interior. I bet it's very quirky.

 

Another European car and another missing rear fog light So far only ETK K series have rear fog lights (not working, but at least they are here). This is quite strange for mostly European team.

I think its ugly, tbh.

I loved the SBR4 design when it came out and no one else did, so maybe my eyes are broken.

It's not a Gabe designed car and you can tell.

 

It's also French, not to mention not finished, or else they would have released it by now. Neither of those facts work in its favor.

 

Usually by the time the car goes in game the styling is finalized (excluding years-later tweaks).

I'm personally not a huge fan of it, but I can't say it doesn't evoke the styling of modern cars, and I'm more excited to drive it than look at it.

 

There are some areas where the smoothing/textures appear unfinished, so I would hold off judgement until those are taken care of.

 

That doesn't necessarily mean that it's poorly designed, if that's what you're alluding to.

Occam’s Razor, my friend. They literally just decided they wanted their new hatchback to be French instead of Japanese. Nothing further than that to look into.

 

Maybe something like this? It could even tie into the new ESC/eDiff Stuff considering how advanced that is on modern WRC cars. Please oh please devs.
Ps:Maybe even R2 and R5 style ones too! probably reaching too much tho.

 

I'm not saying the design is poor, it's just unquestionably ultra unpleasant to look at. I'm clearly in a minority here.

1.6L engine is not mentioned, ruling out a real WRC config sadly. but i would like to see some more aggressive rally bodykit, rather than the rather bland sunburst rally...

 

Anyhow, it would be pretty cool if someone could use the modular engine meshes to make a 670cc two-cylinder series hybrid, using lua code to manage the power plant.

 

Could always use the 1.5 I4 with a race internals etc and say that makes it a 1.6L without changing the block

 

I think there’s a very high chance of getting a rally version, seeing as though there are already several rally configurations for other vehicles.

 

Hopefully this new hatch has some sort of RWD drift config like all the other cars do, it'd be quite a blast to drive on JRI and Utah.
