Name: Benjamin "Cash" Roberts Age: 21 Job: Nodeoline Cashier Cars: 1991 Ibishu Covet 1.5 GTi, 2015 ETK 856txl, 1990 Ibishu Pessima LX project car This morning at 10:36 a.m. I got in a wreck in my Covet with a Hirochi Sunburst. The Hirochi driver took full responsibility for the crash, said he was in a call on his phone and drifted into my lane a little. Both cars were totaled, however neither of us were going over 20. The Covet is still driveable, (just barely) so I manage to make it to work. After work, I drive to @jerrie 's garage. Here's a picture of the damage:
I managed to fix up the doors and hardtop. It looks much better with the top off. It is quite a hassle, as the hardtop needs to be attached manually, it isn't automatic. It wouldn't attach because some of the fasteners were broken, although I was able to make it work with a bit of duct tape. The doors just needed the hinges oiled. I'll probably keep a tarp over it, and only put the top on if it is raining or snowing hard. Then again, the car was made to be rained and snowed on without the top, as it has drains and everything inside is water resistant. Obviously in a rain or snow storm it would probably be good to have it on, but for the most part I'll leave it off. I also got a full tank of gas, which is always good.
($650 may be a little too much but it's fine for RP lol) "That sounds good, thanks!" I pay Jerrie and load the brake parts into my Roamer before heading back home. Once home, I got to work on installing my new-used brakes. I only purchased base model brakes because I'm trying to keep this project cheap and I think they'll be sufficient enough for the purpose. After I got it all back together, I filled up the master cylinder up with some DOT 3 brake fluid and let the calipers gravity bleed, just by leaving the bleeders open. Once Emily got home, I enlisted her help in finishing bleeding the brakes before we took it for another, safer (however still highly illegal) test drive around the neighborhood. When we got back, I began stripping the Sunburst of all the unnecessary parts, which there admittedly weren't many of. I then began to take measurements for the parts I wanted to fabricate, such as the front bash bar and skidplate, which I will build at work. I also ordered a set of wheels and some knockoff Nomi bucket seats along with some other miscellaneous parts for the project.
That kid who parked too close to me read my note and asked me for a fight. I'm heading over to the fishing village, where we'll fight on the docks. --- Post updated --- I've let off a couple honks to alert him of my presence. I also drank a few more beers to make it more fun... --- Post updated --- He dressed up like such a dummy for this fight. Anyway, I guess it's time to begin... --- Post updated --- I totally won the fight, even though I was drunk. Right now we’re both laying on the dock, although I’m the only one who’s awake. I don’t think I can get up...
Fresh start cuz why not -------------------------------- Feels good to be out of my parents' place at last. I bought myself a '94 Pessima wagon for a relatively low amount of money. I have no idea if it will start... Lo and behold, it doesn't start - not easily anyway. There's no oil in the engine. Luckily, I'm near an auto repair place (Lotsa pictures and not much text in this post... meh) --- Post updated --- (are there any untaken houses/apartments in EC,USA that I can use?)
after cory goes, i check my phone to see an unread message of @brien_w . i quickly reply: 'you can come in as soon as you want. i think it would be good if you get here 30 minutes after school is done, and depending on tests, leave not to late.' I sit down, and continue my crossword i was working on. This one is free i believe
I’m hungover on a dock, and I’ve got an hour until school. The guy I knocked out is gone. Guess I gotta get home. --- Post updated --- Getting to school was rough, and my sister is really angry at me for drinking so much. And I have the job to show up to. I really need to quit.
After a tedious search for work that lasted several weeks, I finally got a job as a cashier at the Firwood Cafe. They pay a lot better than I expected and I should be able to move into an apartment in the next few months. Till then, I'm stuck at the Firwood Inn.
Both Em and I put in a ton of work on the Sunbeater today and got it to a damn near complete state. The wheels got delivered today, which prompted me to see how they look on it. They gave it the exact look I wanted it to have, and that was enough motivation for me to fab up a quick bash bar. I installed my lift blocks on the top of the strut hats and then put the new STX wheels with their all-terrain tires on. I ran to the parts store to pick up some cheap auxiliary lights. They look pretty tacky, but they'll get the job done. I really need to make a trip to the DMV and get the Sunburst registered before I take it for another drive. That's a project for tomorrow, though.
Last job of the day, a man came in with a flat front tire. It should be easy to fix, but then he went on to explain that he was driving on it for a while before he got to fixing it, so the rim is all out of shape. --- Post updated --- So I first took the tire off the wheel, and set it on a brick. As expected, the rim was damaged. That meant I had to take it off as well. After taking off the wheel I walked into the shop where we actually had a rim sitting. I reinstalled it, put on a new tire, and was good to go. He paid a lot. --- Post updated --- So after getting my paycheck I started to head back to the apartment. Now i'm in my car, trying to figure out how to get my sister to forgive me. --- Post updated --- I got home, and I've now pledged to quit drinking in return to being allowed to sleep inside.
I found a place! After living in my car for a while, I found a house. Rent was suspiciously cheap though...
Restarting again, same details as before, just a different house and a couple different vehicles. I guess I just have more fun creating characters than actually RPing as them haha plz shoot me now This is my house: These are my cars, with the exception of the Sunburst which is my girlfriend, Autumn's:
I'm conflicted as to what I should do with my Grand Marshall. I picked up this unit in the Fall and I daily drove it until the first snow. The thing's absolutely flawless, and that's exactly why I don't want to part with it. Purchased by me from its 75 year old original owner (surprise, surprise), this GM Luxe was factory custom ordered with the 5.5L and 3.73 LSD rear end that could be found in the Sport model. It rides like a dream and will effortlessly smoke its rear two 28" all-terrains. Now for the bad: I simply don't really need it. I have my Roamer for a daily and winter vehicle and my girlfriend has her Sunburst. And while I have adequate storage space to keep the car, it's just in the way and I don't like letting it sit uselessly for long periods of time. On the rare occasion that I do drive it, I beat the piss out of it, which makes me feel horrible doing to such an immaculate car. Essentially what I'm saying is just let me know if you're looking for a cheap, reliable car and make me an offer if you're interested.
I'll give you 3,300$ for the car. Just did my monthly oil run at the parts store, If your not used to working on HD trucks on a daily basis then it can become mind blowing on how much oil you go through in just a month. Since I'm always forced to having to buy my oil in bulk, it always comes in big heavy steel barrels so I have to take my dually truck to-go get them.
I’ve certainly gotten better at working on cars. The money is good, and I’m hoping we can move into an apartment somewhere soon.
Cant complain at that price really, deal. I'll come pick it up right now if you're currently available.
