    The Manta was Rear-wheel Drive and could still keep up with Audi Quattro's.

    The most famous Manta Rally car being the Andrews heat for hire car that was driven by Russell Brook in the 1980's(see attached picture).

    Kind of obscure, but here's another 50's car;

    Kaiser Manhattan from 1955, came with a supercharged straight six and the best looking grille section of any car i've seen.

    Cool. But it is still american. So it turns like a barge.
    Also the BMW M1 Rallye was actually a one of the Group 4 rally cars that was transferred to Group B.

    I still think that the Austin 3 (Metro, Montego and the featured Maestro) are wonderful pieces of design. This is a Maestro Turbo, the last British new car to be released with a carburettor, and also faster than a Ferrari Mondial 30-70mph.

    I absolutely love the TVR wedges, starting with the Tasmin and ending with the 450 SEAC. The SEAC is less elegant but makes up for it with the aggressive air dams, an asymmetric bonnet and a big tea tray rear wing.
