Poll closed, but i'd go for LHD, but maybe you can implement 2 different dashes for LHD and RHD, If you need 1.8 Diesel sounds, i could make some
In the future I could try to make a LHD version, but I’m not sure how I could do that. do you know of a way that I could flip the dashboard in blender or something like that? As for the 1.8 Diesel It would be very helpful if you could make the sounds. Thanks!
Don't know how i'd make the sounds as i've never made a mod for BeamNG, if you can tell me what you need for the sounds, i'd be happy to record them
I have no idea how to do sounds either, but you probably just need and idling sound, a start-up sound and a revving sound. By the way will you be getting the sounds from that Transit Connect on your profile picture?
Ok, That didn't work, when I clicked it it deleted the whole model and loaded in the default cube. Luckily I closed Blender without saving and got my model back!
That means it DID work. Default cube and factory settings, even if you forgot to save your file it is always possible to restore, Blender has a DOUBLE fallback system for that ! One is a file called 'quit.blend' and the other option is 'restore last session' in the splash menu.
Ah right, I saw those options when I was looking for the reset factory settings button. I'll try and reset factory settings again --- Post updated --- Update: Made a gearstick, handbrake and some door handles
I DID forgot to mention that after you reset to factory settings you need click 'Save User Settings' too otherwise Blender will only remember it for the current file. Oh and next time better to save and close your file first right ? It's not a problem though but bit more complicated imo.
Ok I’ll try that today then, also when you say save and close the file do you mean save and close Blender? Because the problem is only on the transit, and if I open something else in Blender it’s got the factory settings anyway. Thanks
To my opinion Blender is a vastly sophisticated and awesome program. Once you get the hang of it you can quickly achieve results concerning the projects you're working on, but in the mean time the program houses SO many features and parameters that we are not aware of and suddenly while you're working something changed and you can't get it back (cause maybe accidentally a key was pressed or a click was made hah) Anyway, I think it's your view ports / windows you got messed up? It's better that you say what you want to change and then maybe I can help ?
Well, I opened Blender to work on the Transit and tried to extrude a vertex but it didn’t work, the same happened when I tried to move something as well. Later on I found out that I must of pushed a key or something because to move or extrude I need to hold CTRL whilst doing so. Do you have any idea how I can get it back so that I can move vertices without holding CTRL? Thanks Also @queenstar I’ve already modelled a front logo and there is a Ford-shaped oval on the steering wheel, so it would be a lot of work just to change its name...
It still wouldn't be a direct predecessor to the American H-Series. Besides, he's already chosen a name.
Well, that's weird. I'm running a older version of Blender but I'll see if I can find something on this. edit : It seems cannot find anything related to your description of such action in Blender. It also isn't mentioned here https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/modeling/meshes/editing/duplicating/extrude.html or in other sources I checked. Only thing I can add to this is make sure you don't leave doubles by cancelling a extrusion process. And most important : Are you using the hotkeys ? If not you're wasting a lot of your time and effort. Press 'E' to extrude and press 'G' to move (G stands for grab). If you want to move along a certain axis press 'E' or 'G' plus letter of axis. Example, pressing 'E' followed by 'Z' will extrude your selection only along the Z axis. 'G' followed by 'Y' moves a selection only by the Y axis. To confirm E G or S (S = scale) press enter, return or left mouse click.
