The Engines aren't 100% like in reallife. Beamng is very limited and i tried to make it as nice as possible.

The engine won't start on the V8 Bolide

 

What parts do you use?

Maybe you need to use the variable starter and adjust the rpm and torque.

 

Spawned the Bolide and changed it the new V8 (stock) and once the engine is off it won't turn on again. Also tried with moonhawk. but yes if I change the RPM it will work but game tells me the engine is off

 

Im not at home to try it, but when you use the free programmable ECU and make the idlerpm to about 300rpm, than it should work.

I need to fix that

 

I have trouble with the 2.0 reduced engine. I have the ecu for reduced engine installed, but i have to set the max rpm to at least 10.000 for it to even start without instantly locking up. And after revving the engine locks up. I messed around with the starter too.

 

I seem to be having an issue with the V8 where it overheats the oil no matter what I change

Edit: The issue only occurs with the 11.0:1 Compression ratio head-gasket, all others maintain proper oil temps

Akward..
The engine produces lot engine friction then normal engines because of the parts and that's why the oil temp raises.
The only thing you could try is to don't use any oil cooler, the engine itself has a oil cooler in it.

Or I need to make the oil cooler stronger.
I'm not home for some days, but I will look at it after that.

 

yeah, I noticed it creates a lot of friction. it only has the overheating issue with 11.0:1 with the others it stays in range just fine, but using an oil coolers does exacerbate the problem quite a bit I've noticed.

When you have a mod that has a strong oil cooler it will work. But I will fix this

In the Crankshaft parts are all normal (Crossplane) Crankshafts + every Crankshaft as a Flatplane

Hi, sorry if i'm missing the obvious but im not sure how two step works with this mod. How would i enable it and use it for a launch?

 

It's the stock Two step feature from beamng. Go to the menu wheel, go to car thing and then you can enable it and change the rpm. Then when you press brakes and gas, the two step will activate

 

Is there any part that makes the revs smoother, because when you just put the engine in, it revs slow and drops fast

if you have a high output engine and a manual transmission, you can use the High power Flywheel. then it will rev smoother.

Thats because of the friction, the engine has a lot more friction than normal for the parts.

 

Would you be able to put the v8 in the ETK-K series because it would be cool to have the v8 in it.
