Thanks for the excellent work so far. Can´t tell much about crashing, but the C-Body driving feel and sounds are pretty much spot on already with your Fury. There´s one thing though. Assuming a small grid plate is 1x1 m. Comparison pics: Lengths for example (www.automobile-catalog.com): -80 Delta 88 5547 mm / 218.4 in -68 Coronet 2D Coupe 5326 mm / 209.7 in -69 Fury 2DHT 5448 mm / 214.5 in Olds and Coronet/Gladiator seems about right to my eye. Fury is lacking a few inches here and there (Not the only mod car that lives in another dimension). I hope there is some (easy) way to fix the proportions of current mini Fury to a proper full-size car. This mod is too good to be left inaccurate. And sure will be the base if someone someday decides (dear Santa..) to create more fuselage Mopars to the game. Keep up the good work!
One of these bad boys are in my town's scrapyard, i mighty make an attempt to save up to buy it and see if it will run or what the reason is for it being there is, assuming the owner didn't put another on it or damaged the roof...
The roofs on older cars are pretty structurally sound. Worse case scenario, you have to bang out a big dent or put down some new sheet metal in its place.
The sub frame is incorrect. This is what we call a y-framer. In front of the A-arms there should be a big pocket on the top and bottom side of the frame rails (Hence the "Y" frame) I'm guessing that was their idea of a crush point back in the day. On a side note, my brother and I built one of these in real life for derbying. It was a V.I.P. version though.
Apparently VIP was not very good with brakes, so stopping by bumping to another car was perhaps best with it About 0.5g of stopping power by brakes, while cars of today get better than 1.2g and even 60's there were cars that did better than 0.8g
Maybe you got some sound mod ruining it. I just noticed I had v0.8. It worked before and after a clean game reinstall yesterday. And v0.81 works now just as good and loud. The sound files are there in every version. I guess .sbeam is the one to tinker with if nothing else helps.
for those that still have this installed, here's a set of 0.18 compliant thumbnails extract the folder into the mod's zip
