Does it replace the new version?

 

Yes, you can only have one version installed at a time.

 

Hmm, what if you copy the new version and download the old one?

 

You can copy the game folder in your Steam Library folder someone else and switch them out when you want to go back to the latest version, but you can only have one copy in the Steam Library folder at a time. All this would do is save you the trouble of waiting for the older/newer version to download.

Are you unable to click "Properties" upon right clicking the game in the sidebar, as outlined in the articles I linked?

Go to your Steam Library folder, then "steamapps" and "common," then copy the folder labeled "BeamNG.drive" somewhere else.

After that, click on the "Betas" tab in the window you attached a screenshot of and then click the version you want from the dropdown menu. It should then begin to download, which will take about as long as a regular update.

It's a dropdown menu. Click the arrow. You don't need to put in an access code.
