as there is now skin support, how about a police version? it could be like a unit the police use when chasing offroad. also one more suggestion, how about an autobello logo on the front to make it like a sideproject of autobello. anyway, nice job and keep it up.

Very nice, has became one my personal favorite!

I see that you are using a spotlight entity for each light in your lightbar, and all of them seems to be casting shadows.
That can be pretty performance intensive.
I'd would suggest faking them: Leave only 2 or 3 spotlights actually working, and disable the shadow & set the range to zero on the rest. This way you still get the flares, but they won't have a hit on performance.

I've had a user on the MFD discord also report some issues which seem to related to the game loading the old DAE file. I'll reverify when I get back home that I havent accidentally attached the wrong file to the update.

I'd suggest making sure there aren't any other zips in your mod folder that are some combination of autobello and buggy. I know I shared beta versions with different file names on MFD and other discords.

The repo file should be TrackfabAutobelloBuggy.zip

It was doing that for me too and clearing the cache fixed it.

Alright, just verified the file and everything seems to be in working order.

If anyone has issues with skins looking very weird, and/or seemingly invisible/missing parts, it's possible the game is loading the old version of the mesh.

The current model has this model of front bumper, with the two horizontal tubes, with a bunch of vertical tubes.

If the bumper looks like this, the game is loading the old mesh, so you should try clearing your cache as suggested by @Im_a_Lefty

I'll add that to my next update. Thanks for the tip :)

I got a request, if that is fine.

The seats and the analog sports instrument cluster from the original Piccolina if possible.

Another neat thing would be to be able to remove all body panels.

Thanks in advance and thanks for a great mod, i have had a lot of fun with it.

When I saw this mod on the repo, my first thought was "eh, probably something meshslap-y" (sorry), but after trying it out myself, I have to say that, damn, I'm impressed with it. I love how much fun it is to drive, even in the lowest spec (I love offroad vehicles), BUT, as always there's something to complain :p

In my opinion the buggy is too heavy for what it is. I feel like 500 something kg would be more realistic than the current over 600. I know that fuel adds quite some weight, but even without it, it seems like it's too much for how light the buggy looks :)

The dashboard is going to be slowly but surely worked on, especially as I plan on re-using it on other projects. I'll see if I can add some indicators for lights in general to it.

Anyway the interior on the buggy still requires some design work as IMHO it is still quite bare.

Main issue with cycle-type fenders is that they tend to only fit one tire size properly, and considering the mainly off-road purpose of this vehicle, fenders aren't planned.

For weight I used this as reference : https://www.texasdesertracing.com/classes/

The class 9, and class 1/2-1600 buggies, which I'd say are the closest to this vehicle, are said to be between roughly 650 and 725 kilograms.

Without spare tires the baja sportsman variant is around 710kg, which is at the higher end of the range but not too far off. The baja stock variant, which is based on the class 9 rules, is at 670kg without spares.

These cars are meant to last through long distances of being bashed around on super bumpy trails, so they're surprisingly beefy.

I've taken a small break from my current WIP project, which I'll reveal soon™, to do some minor fixes on the buggy.

This includes the addition of a more race inspired skin.

TrackpadUser, you've really made an incredible mod. The buggy is just plain fun to drive and perfect for the open world of BeamNG.

For my personal use only, I couldn't help doing a SBR swap to add a modern Subaru style drivetrain to it. I modeled the powerband after the BRZ/FR-S motor and the chassis loves it.

Eh, no offense meant to anyone, I've done that sort of mod to it on my end as well for testing, but at the end of the day, IMHO, it's still a bit too much of a bodge.

And as said before, the time it would take to make it look decent, is time I prefer spending on other mods. Stuff that can actually take additional power like this.

But if he wants to release that as a mod of mod I'm fine with that.

Totally agree! It was just for fun and the official buggy mod should be left 100% up to the creator's vision. Otherwise it will dilute what makes the buggy so good in the first place. Keep up the awesome work :) Nice teaser, also!
