The race is starting in a hour or so, make sure that your car is safe and you have a helmet! The turn out will most likely be near 300 people including spectators and the racers so bring your own snacks, chairs, etc. so that you don't get bored / tired and starve to death!
Okay, I’m here in my Pessima. --- Post updated --- Okay, looks like the race is about to start. I guess I’ll start going to the starting line then.
man, i wish i could have entered my sh*tbox legran, but i need it as it is my daily on the topic of the legran: got new battery, suddenly check engine light comes on why plugged in obd scanner, cleared code i really hope this legran is alive and it sees me every night browsing beamslist for a new car
I roll up to the Firwood Dirt Racing League race in my POS 200BX go-cart, with the diff making the noise that you'd expect to hear out of a blender with rocks in it. I see @brien_w in his Pessima as well as the event coordinator, @Tuner from America , in his Moonhawk along with many other spectators and participants.
* I look over at @Cory5503 ’s go kart looking 200bx * How am I supposed to compete with that!? One hit from that would smash up my Pessima good. Hopefully I’m faster, and I’m betting the RWD won’t help him.
*arrives in my bluebuck* “Man this thing is bad, anyway, when will we race?” *looks at the competition* “Wait what? A gokart like car? How is that fair?” *makes final adjustments to the bluebuck*
For the last few days, I went to Stairway Mountains in my JDM Pessima and a bloke in his V6 Covet challenges me for a downhill racing. I had no choice but to accept his downhill battle. So we line up on the starting line. After the grid starter said "Go!", we both launched our cars from the starting grid. The Covet accelerates at the start showing the power of his V6 engine and slowed down at the first corner and so I did that too. The Covet just floor it at the end of the corner while I slide the back end of my Pessima which is bad for tire management to be honest and caught up on him. All of the sudden, he messed up at the end of the third corner and I take full advantage of it and smoked him at full throttle. I slow down at the next corner and grip it. As I continue with my pace, my opponents started to struggle and unable to catch up on me to the point he crashed his V6 Covet onto a rock. After I lose him from my sight, I started to cruise downhill and shift it to 6th and decided to head back to Firwood. As I arrived at Firwood, I cruised down at the highway and arrived at my home. I shut off engine, get out of it and enter the house to get some sleep.
Look at mine 1.8l 69kw runs like a bee. Manual open diff I payd for the car I thin 50dollars. Changed spring added letters logos lights, taillights doors fenders seats bumpers... And the car now worth about 550 dollars but It need new tires. (What do you think about the car?) --- Post updated --- What do you think about it? *Drives to start and parks
As the clock nears 1pm, a group of abused, old, and worn beaters curve the top of the hill with a cloud of dust following closely behind. Audience members gather at the starting line, waiting for all of the racers to line up and prepare for the upcoming 2 lap race...
Was refilling in a Gas station today when I encountered this beaten LeGran, it looked like it was about to explode. To whoever was driving this, that's some dangerous shit your driving.
So, I decided to retire from being a detective and return to my shop behind the bank. I realize that I have the 200BX ute inside the shop collecting dust since I brought it from Perth, Australia 5 years ago. I open the cover and take it for a spin around the town.
( Well actually hosting a "Live" race would be very chaotic in this thread so let's say that some people's cars broke down before the race finished and 3-4 people tied at the finish line to make everyone happy. I guess that concludes the race now )
(Live race was done before with a couple people, me included. The problem is that no one wants to lose, so everyone says they get ahead.)
Today was my first day as a truck driver for-hire. My first job was 12900lb of Tasticola. However, on the Belasco city highway, there had been a huge accident, and traffic started to build up. Not a great first day. Just sitting in traffic. Not sure how long this will take to get cleared up...
I finially got a new daily! The covet stopped running so good so i started using the project car GM, which is not cheap on fuel. This ETK I is pretty much mint, 3.0 facelift with ABS and some decent equipment. cost me $6500 but i hope it will be worth it. On the topic of the covet, it is now been sat under a tree in my garden for a few months. I took of the driving school wrap to discover a bit of surface rust and some pretty bad paint. If i dont find a use for it soon ill probably scrap it. Still runs though
The race didn't go that well for me, my dirt racing car has separated at the firewall into two pieces due to the huge amount of rust. Although I guess I can create my own junkyard now, hah.
Well, that race was a disaster. I came in 5th, not surprising seeing as the bluebuck wasnt in the best condition. Something strange happened during the race, i was in 3rd, almost at the end, when the engine let out a majestic roar, like it was unblocked, but it lost a lot of power right after, making me come in 5th. I checked the engine after the race and saw it was very dirty, and its a wonder it ran at all. The engine springing to life was probably some dirt getting free after the car landed, and that, in turn damaged a piston. I luckily found a good i-series engine for $575, so im hoping it will arrive soon.
