Re: General discussion chat Count yourself lucky. Internet Technology Problem Solving And Programming Computing Maths Had assignments in all 3 to do recently plus exams in software engineering, computer systems and modern networking. Actually A-Level exams were harder than the 3 uni ones IMO.
Re: General discussion chat Im doing: Computer sciences Maths Physics Music technology I did further maths up until about a week ago but dropped it because 5 A-levels is way too many, i have been able to revise far better after getting rid of it. Also because i suck at maths
Re: General discussion chat AQA on the comp sci? I hated the A2 coursework for that :/ - - - Updated - - - My school only allowed 4 AS levels and then made us drop whichever one we got the lowest in for 3 A2 subjects in total (unless you are David and incredibly gifted so he did 4 A2 subjects plus added another AS, exception not norm). Took maths, physics, chemistry and computer science at AS, dropped maths for A2
Re: General discussion chat No, I'm doing ocr computing. Apparently the A2 project is fun though. So says the computing teacher anyway Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Re: General discussion chat yesterday was awesome, first off, i finally got to drive the Expedition (i also found out that anyone saying that it doesn't pack a punch is spewing out bullshit, that truck can go (heck, my mom even chirped the wheels when she went back to driving, so there's no way it doesn't pack a punch (on highway)) now though, on the way home from Fry's Electronics, I saw a... TESLA MODEL S, twas awesome, then we proceeded to pass it in a Giant gas guzzling 5.4L V8 SUV, hehehehehehehehehehehe
Re: General discussion chat I guess this gives me some more time to revise: Remaining time > 1 day (May as well get the pc to do it now since i have irl things to do) (also i know it usually takes a lot less time than it states)
Re: General discussion chat If its anything like the AQA A2 project, sure the code part is fun, the paperwork isn't remotely fun though. Mine was graded a D and was 50-75 pages I think, rather small as they go (as reflected by the grade ). Got a B on the other unit (which was exam based) for a C overall. Now studying computer systems engineering at the University of Northampton so my field will be more to do with the hardware and bare metal programming (for operating systems or device drivers) rather than end user applications. I find writing normal PC software interesting of course, but learning what really makes the computer tick is far more interesting to me. Check out the examiners reports from the previous years projects, I actually found them rather useful for once (always wondered why they provided them on other subjects).
Re: General discussion chat I just realized how weirdly proportioned pickup trucks are. Like on normal cars, the cabin stretches the whole length. But on pickup trucks you have this little square cabin, and a rectangular bucket strapped on the the back half of the frame. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Re: General discussion chat It was like 3am, I was just looking at this picture of the ford that I took yesterday. I just started to realize how wonky they are. Doesn't mean I don't like pickup trucks I love them. They're just strange.
Re: General discussion chat Haven't seen them, but I'd love to have one. There seems to be a big truck culture among men where I live, and I don't think they'd sell well. Dudes want their oversized, gas guzzling trucks. I drive a Chevy Colorado (when i'm not on my motor motorcycle) and I dig it. It's not big enough to haul shit but it can carry my furniture fine when changing apartments. I see so many guys at work that drive f250s who don't have any trailers, toys, boats, etc. They just love having a big truck. Seems silly to me but there's probably some appeal I'm missing. Long story short I'd love one, but I don't think the majority would.
Re: General discussion chat There is a company that will ship them and register them for use in the U.S. Correction, they make a kit to convert a Pontiac GTO or G8 to a Ute like vehicle. You can apparently import a Ute and register it in the U.S., however apparently there are a lot of hoops you have to jump through.
