Seats and engine bay accessories are pretty much ornamental props, and the issue is present on all vehicles in about equal measure.

Secondary elements are not structured to keep Jbeam density as low as possible.

    Thanks, that was extremely helpful.

I hope at some point they figure out a way to do it that doesn't overly tax the models from a Jbeam density standpoint.

Same thing with grass just appearing in the interior as you drive through a field...all of this snaps you out of the simulation.

To be honest, I do hope that air intakes and radiators do eventually become jbeamed parts. Those are the only two items that really seem to poke through deformed hoods with any frequency, and damage to them directly impacts vehicle performance anyway - ripping one off in a wreck would probably lead to some interesting problems.

Could the devs add breakable engines? Ya know, like everything from the intake to the battery would fall off independently. It would be also useful in junkyards if career has those.

The stuff in the engine bay should be JBeamed honestly, or at the very least given beams that when deformed do something... Many of the components that are modeled, when broken, do directly and noticeably affect the drivability of the vehicle, sometimes making it completely undrivable, even before the engine is completely broken.

That's actually not unusual for classic cars. Tachometers were considered a luxury, and so were automatic transmissions. So a lot of trims ended up with both or neither.

You know....it's super normal for AT cars to have a Tachometer (As far as I know , go all the way back to 80s(that I hadn't born) , 90s(my best years) , 00s(thing starts go down hill) ,.10s(now) and 20s(next year's model)
I'm more surprised about MT cars have one.

the 1968 Holden HK Monaro GTS 327 had console mounted tacho, a very useless place to put it unless the car was placed on train tracks so you don't need to look at the road

Was checking out a collection of vintage brochures, for sale listings, and automobile-catalog for a while so...
    • An optional column mounted tach would make sense on certain models.
    • Factory tire sizes are too narrow and lacking in overall tire diameter compared to the full-sizers of the era. Wheel sizes are correct though. Those old tires look like pool floats sometimes...
Some parts of the tire sizing issue apply to the Barstow too.

They have the new larger tires yet it is not used in any config for some odd reason, those tire are much better suited to car instead of those puny little ones that are more fitting for the barstow

I think that in order to better show the vast number of specifications old American cars could be ordered in, the Bluebuck needs the 353 and 423 engines in the base version, the I6 in the Marshal and the 353 in the Sport, a 2-door hardtop Marshal and pillared Sport, as well as a choice between the Dual-Matic, Super-Matic and Ulti-Matic.

It would also be nice to have a lower-trimmed version like the RL Chevrolet Biscayne, with stuff like no window chrome - but with all the normal engines available, making you able to get a budget muscle car.

I think there are enough configs for the Bluebuck as it is, and this would just make it needlessly cluttered (remember that the D-Series update removed some factory configs because there were too many in the vehicle selector). There’s nothing stopping you from making them yourself.

Good point, dealerships had plenty of options for custom orders back in the day, no need to make YOUR custom option a base vehicle for all :)
