Really hope it will be something European. This game has way more US vehicles than European. Also hope it's from the 2000's since we don't have any vehicles from this era.
I remember one of the devs mentioned that a somewhat newer Autobello was in the works? Maybe this is what @Falkrum meant when he asked "define modern" - modern relative to another car that's already in the game. The Fiat Panda and Cinquecento, for instance, were modern compared to the original Fiat 500.
That is a completely realistic and likely theory, considering that the Utah map was originally released with the Miramar, another non-US economy car.
All I'm hoping for is whatever that new car they're announcing will be a classic car. Old cars are much more interesting to drive IMO. Modern cars are just too bland to have in-game IMO
You have made the Mercades Stirling Moss sad. I still say the K-Series needs a super car big brother with a speedster config As much as I love old American cars, it's just not what the game needs right now.
Come to think of it, the Autobello was loosely based on the Fiat 600 and Volkswagen Type 1. More realistically, its successor will resemble a Fiat 127 and a MkI Golf, both of which are very important in car history. A GTI-inspired sport model is practically mandatory, as well as a Communist knockoff Eastern Bloc license-built model. I would like if the new model used an Alfasud-type powertrain with FWD and a longitudinally-mounted boxer, but that's just wishful thinking.
holy crap i just realized think of slrr. you go to a used car shop and buy a car as your first car, right? welli with the upcoming career mode, we could possibly have a better and more modern slrr.
its the truth tho all the soviets did was take some already-crappy Fiat and gave it a facelift every millenium
And it worked, too, as they had basically 0 competition. One thing that I’m seeing a lot recently is talk about career mode. I’d love career mode to come out in 0.18 as much as the next guy, but realistically, I don’t think it’s going to happen. That being said, this is no more than a gut feeling, as I don’t think we have much evidence to prove whether this is the career update or not the career update.
I think it’s supposed to show that the d series improvements are done (making it body on frame and whatever else they did). Hoping they did more than just that though.
I'm not at my computer, who volunteers to grab a screenshot of the D15 in 0.17.1 and put them side by side? I don't want to make any guesses without seeing that next to the 0.17.1 equivelant. It's possible it got another round of model updates.
