1990 - 1996 Streitwagen Adler ( Based off the 1993 Volkswagen Golf and 1996 Audi A3 ) "Cheap Reliability" The Streitwagen Adler MK3 is a small 3 or 5 door Hatchback with a simple design that was built to carry an average German family while also having great reliability, gas mileage, and even performance on the high end models. Trims: Derby: The Adler Derby was a 3 door Adler GR that had been pulled from a junkyard to have one last moment of glory by crashing into 1970s American sedans at a county fair. It has a stripped interior, a roll cage, steelies, chunky offroad tires, fencing over all the windows, no headlights or tailights, welded doors, reinforced steel bumpers held on with chains, and painted with various cans of spray paint. She might not live for much longer, but she's got enough fight left in her to go out with a violent crash. Gopnik: The Adler Gopnik is a modified 3 door 5 speed manual Adler KS, plain and simple. It has been given the 3 stripes on Dassler Track Suits along it's hood and roof, SRV Badges and Hardbass bumper stickers slapped onto the hatch lid, a massive subwoofer in the trunk, a gold chain hanging from the rear view mirror, and a cold air intake kit that boosts it's horsepower from 89 to 92 at most. Truly the best Chariot for any self-respecting Slav. GV: The GS Adler is the base model Adler. It comes with a 1.4L 60hp I4 and a 4 speed manual transmission. This car was a bare bones as you could get, it didn't even have floor mats or colored bumpers. It was also only available in a 3 door body style because the extra weight of two more doors almost killed the GS's performance when it was tested as a prototype. GV+: The GS+ was a Adler designed for maximum fuel efficiency and nothing else. It's lost it's back seat in order to save weight, it's gear ratios have been extended in order to make the car more fuel efficient at highway speeds, and a very hard profile tires for low rolling resistance. GP: The GP Adler was a step above the GS and GS+ Adler, but not by much. It still had the same 1.4L I4 engine and the 4 speed manual transmission, though a 4 speed automatic version was available in later years. However, it did have a few options the GS didn't, such as; color bumpers, floor mats, A/C, a Heater, a Radio, a Cassette Player, and a rear windshield wiper. Like the GS, it was only available as a 3 door hatch. GR: The GR Adler is where the good stuff starts to show up. It's 1.4L I4 has been thrown into the trash where it belongs and has been replaced by a 74hp 1.6L I4 and it has been given either a 4 speed automatic or a 5 speed manual transmission, your choice. It also has more options, such as; 15 inch alloy wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes, a third brake light, and even a 5 door hatchback body style. KS: The KS Adler is one of the most common Adler's on the road. It has a 1.8L 89hp I4, a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission, and every single option available on the GR Adler, while also having some new ones. The new options are; colored trim, sway bars, a limited slip differential, and power windows and locks. KS Turbo: The KS Turbo is what most would consider a sleeper, which is a car that looks slow but is actually pretty quick. It is powered by a Turbocharged 1.8L 148hp I4 and has been given a 5 speed manual transmission along with every option available on the regular KS. It may not look like much, but that's the genius in the KS Turbo. Who wouldn't want a 4 wheeled rocket that cops don't take a second glance at? D: The Adler D is the Diesel model of the Adler. It has been given a 1.9L 108hp Diesel I4, a 4 speed automatic or 5 manual transmission, and every option available on the KS model. It may not be the best performing, smelling, or even good looking Adler, but the Adler D is popular for a reason, and that's great gas mileage and reliability without the lack of performance you get in the GV+ Adler. SRV: The SRV Adler was the most desired version of the Adler across all of it's generations. This very special Adler has been given a 2.9L 187hp V6 engine, however, it's not like a normal V6 engine, the V6 in the PV Adler is a 15° V6 designed to give maximum performance to the Adler while also being able to fit in it's tiny engine bay. It also only comes with a 5 speed manual transmission and a 3 door hatchback body style. Various options are also on the Adler PV, such as Buckets seats, a CD player, Fog lights, 17 inch alloy wheels, much bigger brakes, sport suspension, sport struts, sport sway bars, a racing limited slip differential, a sunroof, colored trim, special PV badges, and PV stripes along the driver's side of the bumpers, hood, roof, and trunk. One of cool things about real-life Volkswagens is the ablity to mix and match engines, trims and options... unlike in this.
I think a late 70s smog era giant american luxury coupe or sedan like an eldorado or a continental would be cool. The engines would be some of the biggest ever in the game, the eldorado for example had an 8.2 liter v8 that made like 150 horsepower, I think this would be a really fun car to mess around with, especially trying to drive it on the italy map.
