its just another vehicle revamp in progress... new roamer will be slightly shorter (about 1 cm) and will basically get the same front end treatment as GM did, that is there will no longer be a unibody-like front end, instead fenders and such will be connected to the frame
Professional? More like overly fancy. The current selector is a great example of KISS: Keep It Simple, Stupid.
What's over fancy about a single background image Do you also not use a desktop wallpaper because it's too fancy?
Imo the parts selector needs an overhaul more than the vehicle selector At very least rims should have a thumbnail It could be carried over to other parts as well Everything could be separated into tabs using the slots and instead of live updates it would only reload after you are done
Agreed, the only thing you can do now is pause the game, but then if you add a part that has more in depth customization (e.g. nitrous) you have to unpause, let the car load up, then pause again and edit the details of that part. We just have to see what comes with the new UI in the works
If possible the best workaround I can think of would be to auto reload the car if it detects a change that has sub parts
Good find. Could it be an early prototype of a reworked Roamer, or dare I say, a brand new vehicle? EDIT: It does indeed appear to be a reworked Roamer, from other posts in this thread. Super exciting!
Concerning the part selector, some info would be really useful, especially for new players. At least basic stuff like weight, maybe even more in depth stuff like a description of what the part does if the devs are up for a lot of writing. Tires and rims definetly need a thumbnail, some stuff like the Autobello's body parts would benefit from it too. At this point I'm wondering if they will just scrap these two selectors entirely and just use an updated garage design for both free roam and career.
Not sure if I read this right, but this seems to confirm Utah map improvements coming in the not too distant future? (Maybe even next update??) I might be mistaken though. EDIT: Rated informative by synsol... hmm.. (On the original post, not this one)
Interesting, if Utah's getting upgrades, than probably JRI, Port, Industrial Site, and Small Island will be upgraded too as they are even older.
AFAIK Port, Industrial Site and Small Island are already confirmed to be getting an upgrade. JRI is not confirmed but if Utah is getting one I'm presuming JRI will too.
Those upgrades were confirmed back in November, but strangely they were not released last update, when they did originally say that they were working oldest to newest. "And I'm currently working on Utah, I did also a great stuff on it. In the next months it's not impossible I will do a remastering of Canyon of Speed." If this is anything to go by, the Utah upgrade is already decently far in development.
My guess is that 0.18 will just be a big overhaul of most, if not all of the maps and cars that need it.
With the D-Series/Roamer/H-Series confirmed to be getting bigger updates, I'm not sure what will happen with the other updates. If more cars are getting substantial updates we might not see that high of a quantity. As for maps, if Utah and JRI are getting changes then that could push the schedule around for the other older map revamps. The Wendover has always been controversial, they played their cards close with the Bluebuck, and it will probably be a config light car which uses engines already in game. We might not get much word about it up until the devblog for it's update comes out. Plus they need something big(ish) to drop for Christmas other than remastering old content.
Back in the 0.15 changelog they said career mode (probably a heavily WIP form) would come out by the end of 2019, so it's probably that, alongside remastered content and major improvements to the ai/traffic/police system.
I hope 0.18 will have car and map revamps and if we're lucky, an early career mode.. I highly doubt the Wend though.
After playing on Italy for some time and ECUSA getting revamped it really makes me hope for a drivable tractor. Maybe Civetta can be the manufacture like how Lamborghini still does. But I doubt we'll get one. But there's always some hope.
