I know that this is just a theory, but maybe the materials.json is breaking the game. Thats just my theory.
Invisible tree/branch collision on East Coast, USA around the area of the car on a dirt road near the Town Industrial Area spawn point under the half fallen tree:
Also, I think the beater covet should only have broken piston rings, as having coolant constantly spewing out of the hood would mean the owner probably wouldn’t drive it. Smoke out of the exhaust isn’t as much of an impairment. Maybe a version like the terrible could have both broken.
Update. One time I loaded the map, start the race and one timer were glitched. Restarting the game fixed it.
The D-series menu has two configurations that have the same name. However, the rightmost one is automatic and not manual. Diving into the files, the issue is right here in the .json files: Also, why are two similar configs for which the only difference is the gearbox, not always right next to each other? most other cars in game do it, but in the D-series there are the ext. cab ones between the regular ones. A few East Coast minor bugs: This is clearly asphalt, but marked dirt on the minimap: this one is dirt but marked asphalt: This access road right behind the cement mixer doesn't appear on the minimap at all: same for this one: This one is deliberately without safe-mode: as you can see, the Beamng-official checkbox is marked, yet mods still appear aplenty. I don't know if it's just broken, or if it's based off of some property (such as the author on a .json file) and some people just leave it to the default one (Beamng). Anyway, shouldn't be too difficult to fix. Some missing minimap roads on Hirochi Raceway in the rocks area: And here's a short story of how I found some really interesting bug: While scrolling through the car selector I found that apparently both the Bluebuck and the Barstow have the same set of engines to choose from! So obviously the next thing to do was to open up the hood and see what's in the engine bay. I opened up the hood with the nodegrabber, then middle mouse button click to lock it in place. Apperently the engines are pretty different (maybe the different model years?). The Bluebuck has a battery, water reservoir for coolant, and even a brake master cylinder! (or is it power steering?). So far so good. So next I just wanted to spawn up a different configuration to compare engines, and then this happened: The nodegrabber apparently breaks the car when you replace the car with a different one. Here's a video:
Searched the thread and didn't see anything about this. The tire wall across from the figure-8 on Hirochi Raceway Short Circuit doesn't have any collision physics.
I've been trying to spawn in the Covet in beamng after this update and in short every time that I try to use the covet the game pauses and says Instability detected. Anyone else experienced this issue? Happens with and without any mods. Checked game integrity and even had back-up original folders that I replaced. --- Post updated --- Nevermind. The "Honda B20 engine for Ibishu Covet" was crashing it.
I advice you reread what did he say, the part of that tire wall has no physics, car just gone through
I have a few questions.First, do you ignore the weight of the driver? Can you do the weight adjustment of the driver and passengers like fuel in the tank? Secondly, the braking force of 100 percent, it touched the pedal-all the wheels locked? Can I save the selected value? Third, the soil on the shore of water bodies should be wet, that is, if the dirt road enters the water, it should be mud.
Is the Covet engine meant to blow up after a minute of driving? The engine says over torque risk in 3rd gear then proceeds to blow up 30 seconds later. I don't think it's supposed to be this fragile is it? Edit: It only seems to happen on the custom config car that I have used as my default vehicle since forever. It was basically just a rally spec Covet with the vandalized paint job. No mods. I will try and make a new version in the garage and hope it's not too different.
I've taken notes of some of the traffic / police issues in this thread, and I'll fix as many as I can in the next while.
mmm... still seems questionable, as the ext. cab ones should probably both cost more than the shorter ones, just because of the added length. Still, that was more just me wondering why is it like that, not an actual bug as the other stuff.
The "Bank Robbery" scenario is a little Broken. If you manually reset any time during the scenario then the ETK just crashes as soon as the scenario starts and you see this when you arrive at the bank: The only way to fix this is crash your car and use the UI to reset, which fixes things. Also the "bank" is actually a bookstore:
