I wish they'd do it again but in reverse. 4 door Mustang based sedan, call it the Falcon. They should've done that back in 2016 instead of letting their oldest nameplate die.
If it would sell, they would probably do it. Problem is, the money is better spent when invested in making something with any appeal outside Australia better, not waging a battle for slightly less mediocre Australian sales. Most of the FPV guys can as well buy a V8 Mustang.
The difference being that the Mustang was actually an OK car from the beginning and still is, whereas the Fiat was a slow little tin can and the new Fiat is an egregiously-cute little cringemobile for the kind of woman who carries a chihuahua in her purse. As to a Mustang sedan, well, mass taste can be an evil, dirty, horrid thing sometimes. You can't make a living selling excellence when your customers actively desire (and the regulations actively force) mediocrity.
Adjusted for their respective markets, they are the same thing: a basic, but acceptable premium economy car. Excellence has many faces, and a practical, reliable, comfortable, cheap-to-run family car is one of it.
I'll be honest, this is the first time something has ever actually frightened me whilst driving. Doesn't seem that bad in the video but I was shaking for about 20 minutes after this. Scared & infuriated the living shit out of me.
Since nobody brought this car up yet, let me lend a hand to show the North American successor to the Evora 410 - the Evora GT. https://jalopnik.com/the-2020-lotus-evora-gt-gets-its-back-seat-back-and-6-e-1836729582 ...and here's an article about it.
Ive seen plenty of these drivers in Canada, these guys are often trying to show-off or try to get some attention. Often they do get attention but not the type they want.
There are quite a few people like that around here too. A couple days ago I had someone in a Mustang come flying past me at a stop sign. I was not going slow. They didn’t get very far thought, I caught up with them about 5 miles later at a construction site.
I've seen a couple people around my city that are reckless, drunk, or just plain bad drivers. Hell, today I saw a F-Series doing slow braking and zig-zagging slightly off-lane (I suspect the driver was drunk, since I doubt the moments he braked was a few inches from a car ahead of it, and aforementioned zig-zagging) on a interstate.
I payed a visit to the local police station this morning. The NSW Highway Patrol were very interested in the footage. I'd say he'll be receiving a nice visit
I thought that was you. I lose track of what channels I'm subscribed to lol Bad drivers seem to be out in full force lately, way more than usual. I guess it's summer and all the tourists are here. This was one from today. Not as bad obviously but still dumb (and the pet peeve of certain members here) (I know I have a tendency to under-do it with the horn)
Fun fact: a Ferrari 250 GTO costs as much as 10 used, flightworthy, Boeing 767s. It costs as much as TEN transatlantic airliners. 10.
Has everybody already discussed the supra mk5? If not, i would like to get some respectful and non toxic opinions since this forum is more friendly than yt or insta.
I think that it is a good car, but it does not interest me at all. I would much rather have a mk2 celica supra or a mk3 supra than the mk4 or 5. I should add that the same can be said for the new Z4, I would rather have a 1980s 325i convertible or a sharknose 535i.
For being a modern sports car,it does everything well. I dont know what people were expecting. A 30+ year old anchor of an engine in a new car which has golden ratio? Hell no.
My problem with it is that it does everything well, much better than anything old, but it does not give me the same buzz as an older car. Neither does the mk4 supra for that matter.
