Well, that's why there are superchargers. I would like to see some kind of variant with small supercharged i3 engine.
Superchargers are wasting more power and run out of steam at higher rpm. Variable turbo is what makes low rpm boost and still performs at higher rpm, that is what is modern car thing. There is a turbo for 125cc engine, might not put up lot of boost at low end, but at upper range of engine sizes (600cc) that would be nice torque booster. https://www.ecotrons.com/products/small_engine_rhb31_vz21_turbocharger/ That is what you put on your JDM themed lawnmower for a extra kick! Also, note that on that page there is a PDF document, with turbo compressor maps for several small turbos, there is perfect sizes for a kei-car too, also with data from that it is possible to make quite realistically behaving turbo engine in BeamNG as you can calculate airflow of engine and from that you can get good idea from max boost for rpm etc. with little bit of math such data can be very useful in making realistic engine for a car.
Easily, intake port is 25mm in diameter, good for 27-135hp, I think that is perfect for kei-cars. Also typos are quite good even by Chinese cheap product standards, but at least there are measurements so one can see thing is size of fist or roughly there: Thing is also watercooled, amusing piece, would need that on bookshelf
maybe a variant like the superturbo for a performance variant? (supercharger from 1000-4000rpm then it switches off while the turbo is activated, allowing both low-end torque and high rpm power)
I’m not entirely sure how the tuning is, but plenty of kei cars have i3 turbos, notably the Autozam AZ-1 and Honda Life Diva. I’ll see if I can find a bit more info on some engine stats of real kei cars. Maybe. It’ll all have to fit in the super small engine bay though, and it probably would be too powerful for a stock variant. It’d be an interesting setup though. Honda Beat, no turbos, turbo engine would not rev that high, also good usable power would start from lower rpm. NA engines of such are quite peaky. On right you can see speed vs gear vs rpm, on left there is also fuel consumption in grams. There is not much detail in that torque curve, but I think that I have tool to get that part solved. That engine is quite good in fuel consumption, suspiciously good actually, but less cylinders is easier on fuel and one gets more power out as less energy is wasted on friction etc.
No, it has an internal combustion engine. Just a very small one. Like, 660 cc which is as big as mid-tier motobike engine.
ありがとうございました！頑張る！( ◠‿◠ ) Nope, just a very small Japanese Kei car. Kei cars have to meet very strict power and size regulations, so they generally have like <1.0 liter inline 3s. Despite their size and power though, a lot of them have pretty advanced features and tech, and some even have awd and stuff.
