So, after a night of watching Nascar Racing 2003 reenactments, I opened my skull and think...is it possible to use the bush physics for, let's say a catchfence? And do the bushes have the bush physics, or is it another object doing it?

Kind of like this. Best example of the bush effect

The way they work is by vertex coloring or normals or something. Basically depending on their colour they will react more or less to the current wind setting.

They don't react to physics interactions.

However custom models could certainly be made with physics interactions. Would just need someone to actually make them =D

Yes. The same underlying collision parameters can be tuned for other kinds of objects, such as the West Coast USA shock absorbers (located near highway exit lanes).

Where would those parameters be? Is it in blender or something, or is it a setting in the World Editor?

You can find all those collision types in the groundmodels, available at gameengine.zip/art/groundmodels.json
Check this wiki page too: https://wiki.beamng.com/Groundmodel_on_static_objects

Okay, I guess I’ll look into it when I get back from out of town.
